I have one of these. $25 is not bad, but I definitely wouldn't pay $59.95.

    Umbrella beads?

    • My best guess is that "Innovative umbrella beads" means "hydrophobic fabric".

      • Nah, it's just tips of ribs covered by fabric, in an innovative way, whatever that marketing speak means

    • The picture shows you they're referring to the rounded ends that cover the ends of the arms? spokes? of the umbrella so you don't poke peoples' eyes out.

  • Online standard delivery $9.90
And a 1% PayPal surcharge never seen that before.

  • I have the mifun version of this, with the flashlight at the bottom. Sometimes it doesn't open up when I press the button and it just releases from the lock. Any idea how to fix this?

  • Is it windproof for winter weather here ?

Why not this instead? https://www.amazon.com.au/Samsonite-Windguard-Auto-Umbrella-… ends up being same price (almost) if you are a Prime.
    Anyone had experience with it?

I have been using this for a while now: https://www.amazon.com.au/Newdora-Windproof-Lightweight-Refl…

Excellent quality, opens and closes easily, easily fits into my backpack and can withstand some wild weather.

Best part is the super-absorbent cover.

Can it survive our windy weather ?

      • $25.99 atm.

How much when you got it?

        • +1

First one I bought from Ebay for $29, 2 years ago. Then I bought two more for family from Amazon's lightening deal in December 2019, for $18.95 each.

There is no vent, but these umbrellas are strong and can survive windy weather. Better than buying cheap ones every few months.

      • does not look like windproof, where is the vent?

        • 1km/h wind is technically a wind.

    • Thinking buying this one on the other day, but hold off until sale time. What worries me is that it is highly possible being stolen due to the brand.

I'd worry if it was Apple umbrella and cost you only $999.95 and $1049.95 more if you want handle for it.

        Xiaomi? Meh.

    • I have this samsonite one, but never used the Xiaomi one.

Samsonite one is great as an umbrella, especially in the wind. Some minor things i don't like:

      1) definitely bigger than most umbrellas when "folded down"
      2) a bit heavier than most other umbrellas ive used
      3) the pole/handle are not as long as other umbrellas ive used, so it will tend to sit a bit low when you hold it

Mind you, these are all minor complains and more me nitpicking than anything else.

    "heat-insulating" - oh come on!

  • Anyone have a recommendation for a quality compact umbrella? The ones recommended so far seem to be a bit bigger than most. Partner just lost hers and needs a replacement but needs to fit easily in a purse.

Just walk past a restaurant in a posh area during the rain and pick whichever umbrella you like from a bin.

  • What happened to those golf umbrellas that always used to be on here? It was like 3 for $20

    • Woodworm umbrellas!! Still have one of mine. Not very practical if you need something to fit in a bag though.
