    • Yes, but works with all Optus MVNOs, e.g. Coles. Unlike Telstra handsets that work only on Telstra or Boost.

  • Even unlocked, Optus have a nasty habit of supplying phones with the frequencies that Telstra and Vodafone have and Optus doesn't use crippled in the firmware. and hardware, one of the reasons I do not and will not deal with them.

    You're right that it is " unlike Telstra handsets that only work on Telstra and Boost" - that is axiomic. I'd be interested to know if you had ever come across one, as I haven't had a Telstra handset yet that didn't work with Woolworths, Aldi ect.

    Other members would be incorrect in assuming that " Telstra Handsets only work on Telstra or Boost" as most of them [ All that I have seen, there is space there for you to provide your example of one that doesn't] work on the 9 MVNOs using their network, can be unlocked, and Telstra are also allowing MVNO.s to activate e-SIMS.

    OTOH, a crippled Optus phone is a crippled Optus phone, unlocked, locked or even rooted and flashed with another ROM! Then again, they are unlike Vodafone phones which interfer with your cars GPS and cause migraines. I so glad Vodafone doesn't stock any…
