  • I found those other G model Dells with the 3070s (the non-Alien Ware) to be better value. Bought the 10700K version last year (when it was the latest CPU), 1TB SSD and 2TB HDD and the 3070 for $2K.

Don't know why you need a 1000W power supply for a 3070 either. The model I bought only had 500W PSU and I never had any problems with it and I mine eth with it everyday and play AAA titles.

You pay more for the brand with these "Alienware" deals in my opinion.

    • Last year's pricing is a whole different thing though - hard to find reasonably priced cards etc

    • Alienware internal chassis is more expandable than the G-series (I also have one) which is based on their Inspiron desktop line.

But more to the case, a lot are just buying these models now to obtain the 3070/3080 series card.

Will their juicy 3080 deal ever be seen again? Had just got the tick of approval on the outlay lol

Monitors are regular price. Not a deal on monitors at all. They have inflated the price 2x and reduced it by 50% wtf

  • Also worth noting that Cashrewards and Shopback have been changing their cashback rates on Dell. From 6% to 5% and now to 10%. However, the rate is only 1.5% for Alienware.

    300 more for a 3080

    • Which deal?

    • +1

It used to be a $300 upgrade. It's now an $880 upgrade.

    • The 3080 deal with the 10700F was only $2,750 a few weeks ago. I can't remember how much you had to pay for the 11700F if you wanted to upgrade.

      • And 3080s were under $1000 6 months ago. What was available in the past is totally irrelevant.

        • +1

          Was it?

        • Not when the deal repeated itself with a$100 extra.

  • The Ryzen 5800 deals absolutely slay this, and they're not even that good.

    Alienware tax continues.

    • Agreed, the current 5800 + 3070 for less $ is a better deal

      • Isn't that R10 without liquid cooling?

        • Even if it is, neither setup is effective. 120mm rad for the liquid.

        • Pretty sure you can buy an aftermarket 120mm AIO for like $70
          So it's still worth it

          • @Tavisophical: The Alienware may not have standard CPU cooler mounts or power connectors.

            • @NoRotation: From what I've read, it's got standard 120mm sized fans, so you should at least be able to swap one for an AIO if needed
As for power, I can't say for certain…

      • the AMD build, even with LOVEKEANU is now way way way more than the intel, clickfreszy + LOVEKEANU discount

        • more expensive or cheaper?
