Ps4 pro value is going down, the longer you wait the less it will be worth. Something to consider if you are going to sell. Having had it since nov I can’t recommend highly enough. Everything is faster, if you multi a lot it speeds up every aspect, like creating and joining parties, loading games is hugely much faster. No more turn the ps on and make a coffee.

I have no issues with PS4 pro loading time tbh. Gives me a little break as well. Playing spiderman, I don't think it ever took longer than 10 seconds. Loading up is fast as well, no way can I make a coffee in time. Do I just have a fast PlayStation compared to everyone else or am I just slow?
@[Deactivated]: Ps4pro and ps5 is worlds apart, and tbh with the pro resale value not sure it's worth holding on if you want next gen experience.
Funnily ps4pro will remain high in resale for lil longer, not sure what you're holding out years for nextgen for few hundred bucks. Unless you've always been planning to keep your ps for sentimental value.
@[Deactivated]: I have a pc too so the load times stood out to me. It’s more than double what my pc does, and now ps5 is near instant.

I'm planning to keep my PS4 Pro after I get my PS5 just as a backup. While PS5 stock is as short then if it dies I can't just return it to the shop and swap it straight over for a new one, I'll probably be having to wait a while for replacement or repair, so I'll have the Pro to play while I wait. I might think about letting it go once PS5's are easily available.
@AngusD: Oh yea fair enough! I don't think you will be able to play any of your PS5 save games though, it doesn't go backwards. Only if they are converted to PS5 games that is. I don't think I've ever had a console die on me, the closest I got was with the X360 which had RROD, but it was 6 years old haha
@onlinepred: Yeah, but I'll probably still be playing a lot of PS4 games for the rest of this year. I play a lot of Battlefield 5 with some friends (at least until BF6 comes out), and I just started Divinity Original Sin 2 which will probably take me 100+ hours. After that I've got 3 Dark Souls games waiting for me, too, and I have a raging Slay The Spire addiction for which I should probably seek professional help. All those PS4 games should happily go back and forth from PS4 to PS5 and back via the cloud saves?
@AngusD: I know they go forward, I don't know about back. You would be looking at the PS5 save game on the PS4, not sure if you can do that?
@onlinepred: I'm assuming a PS4 game saved on PS5 is still a PS4 save. I guess no way to tell for sure until I try it. Even if it doesn't go backwards, the fact remains that if my PS5 drops dead and I can't get an immediate replacement then I'm still better off having my PS4 Pro to play SOMETHING on rather than sitting around with nothing, or having to fall back on my PC which I don't really like gaming on for extended periods of time as it feels too much like I'm at work :P
@AngusD: PS4 games will only have PS4 saves if they do not get a PS5 update. The second they get a PS5 update, the save games become PS5 save game.

Oh well, I'm sure I've got plenty of games that haven't had / won't get PS5 updates, so I'll be right for something to play in case of emergency. Hopefully it won't come to that anyway!
@AngusD: Yea I weighed it up, but ended up getting the Amazon pre order for $670, and selling the pro for $400. I'll just watch TV/movies if the PS5 ever breaks haha.

I'd consider either.
A. Getting it now, and just biting the bullet, selling the PS4p.
B. Buying it and if you have buyers remorse sell it for what you paid (or slightly higher). You shouldn't feel bad as thats what the going rate is.To add to everyone's considerations whether to buy now or later, keep in mind that PS5 is a huge item. I'd be happy to pay more for a smaller version, which will probably drop later. In a year. Or two, three - hell knows.
And hopefully it's going to be less ugly AF, but that's subjective, ofcourse.

Page has changed from "In stock, order now to have delivery tomorrow" to just "In stock" but unable to purchase. Delivery date is now listed as 21 May instead of 19th. Had a friend that got two because they preordered but then it came in quicker than expected. Girlfriend got him one as a surprise. Sold the other one for $850 within two hours of putting it up for sale. So definitely can still get a decent amount.
Doesn't really say much. Xbox Series X was in stock for hours on Microsoft's website a couple months back.
Series X harder to find than PS5s nowadays.

I believe anyone who is replying robotic is risky to transact with. I normally have some conversation around product till i get confidence for legit person and not a scamer. Normally scammers are very robotic or they insist a lot for you to travel some remote place! just my experience
