Saw from another post Cashrewards 10% can stack with LOVEKEANU bringing the total price down to $1,350.89 - Historic low for this.
Was browsing Dell XPS and with current click frenzy deal, looking at what the lowest price of this beautiful yet powerful and sleek laptop can come down to…
I personally much prefer the i5 with 16GB Ram and 512 SSD model.

LOVEKEANU takes another $112.99 off and works with current 15% off!

Making the final price of $1500.99.

HOWEVER(WARNING): More expensive than historic low in Feb 26th this year by $13.92. - That's 24 piece nuggets + large fries. The choice is yours.

Currently Cashrewards and Shopback are both doing 10% cashback on Dell as well. I went through Shopback, will find out if cashback stacks in 2 days time. Fingers crossed.

Bulk buy of 5 + for a whopping 7% off EXTRA is still on offer same as the historic low deal.

This being i5 rather than i7 really brings down the value-price ratio in my eyes. i5's tend to struggle even when you have too many Chrome tabs open at once. That plus the fact that XPS13&15 have soldered on RAM, which means you cannot extend it yourself.

    • +5

There's hardly any difference between i5s and i7s anymore on mobile, they're both 4 core / 8 thread parts. You get slightly more graphics EUs on the i7.

      • +2

The i7 is throttled pretty significantly on the XPS 13 9310 for thermals, so the i7 isn't significantly faster than the i5. May be similar on this 9305. About 5:40 in this video https://youtu.be/meHkFjoFIhE

    • Wouldn't the Chrome issue be more to do with insufficient RAM?

  • XPS 15 9500 has 2 ram slots and is upgradable.

    • Also heavier and more expensive.

      • +2

That is true, though I was responding to @Greem85's comment about the non-upgradable ram in XPS 13 and 15 - they are in fact upgradable on the 15 (though I'm unsure about the 13)

I bought one of these, same spec a month ago on dell outlet. Very pleased with it. Stays pretty cool under normal web, office, media consumption use. Handy being able to charge from either side using the thunderbolt ports. 16gb means it runs VMware really well.

I do love the XPS13. The only thing missing from this is that I wish the FHD screen had touch functionality. I'm not particularly interested in the OLED or 4k options for the price hikes that they come with

  • The Asus Zenbook 14 is better for this price. Ryzen 5700u (8c/16t) and has a monstrous 67whr battery for 1.2kg.

Also the 9305 is the old chassis model with a big chin.

    • Where can you find a 16GB zenbook 14 for this price?

      • You can get one for approx $1550 at mmWave. The ux425

    • There's no 10% cash back for mWave though. Another $200 saving compared to Zenbook 14, I guess pick your poison.
The mWave stock is not currently available.

      • Yeah i’m looking for a good battery 16GB ram laptop in the 1-1.3K range
$1500 probably a little too much for me
