its a tent ment to look like a kombi. whats to get about this…. i've heard about these elsewhere. i don't understand your complaint.

    • +6

Dealhunt, your comments are so badly worded, at best I would describe them as ramblings of a madman, so I don't think you can call them out on a typo.

From the bottom of EVERY page on their website:

      Copyright Homesboutique.com.au 2011 (Business registration Acetraders ABN 19 102 134 699 - 565 Woodville Road Guildford NSW 2161).

I Would hardly call that hidden.

If you're going to quote the website, at least do it accurately. "Manufactured by the factory who produces tents for North Face, K2 and Coleman."
They do not state that it's the same company making these tents, it's just that they're put together in the same factory.

are you picking on the spelling of volkswagen when you spell "tent" wrong?

    • -8

You're right I shouldn't, but this seller is telling too much crap, the most unbelievable is being Volkswagen's licensed seller, I don't know if you got the point.

      • +1

I think he means the tent itself is officially licensed, in other words the manufacturer of the tent is licensed to create and sell it. This would mean that third party distributors/sellers would be able to sell this item without fear of being trodden on by VW, provided the licensing is legit of course.

From his wording I didnt get any misconceptions that the seller themselves has any relationship with VW, unless he has changed something recently in the description.

I can see some great uses for this product.

"provided the licensing is legit of course" I see you got the point.

Then why the rep doesn't show the picture regarding his/her "real" product but they just copied a picture got from internet and posted here aiming to get people believe this is a Volkswagen "original" product??

dealhunt - I don't think there is any misunderstanding for "licensed by [whatever the company is]".

Go to BIGW/Kmart and pickup a random Disney toy/stationary product and look at the product tag. 99.9% of them are not made by Disney, instead they are "licenced by Disney".

      " you spell "tent" wrong?"
      Actually, it was spelt wrongly.

      • +1

I'll take your word for it

Cool(ish) looking product, but what's the regular price (not RRP, your normal price), what's the "bargain" ?

  • +3

camping (and ozb commenting) is in-tents.

  • interesting design

  • +3

    Really?
    Really Ozbargainers!!!!

    $360 for a tent, A TENT!!

and the only thing you can complain about is some guys spelling?

    • … and a flat roofed tent at that! What if it rains or there is some SuperDew over night? I might wait for the $20 chinese knockoffs to appear on eBay.

      • LOL!!! remind me of a couple who had the flat roof tent @ raining night! they used all night clearing the water on the roof… :-P

  • +1

Price seems pretty well around the average, nothing out of the ordinary.

  • +2

I have seen these in "real life".
They look awesome. I agree with SuperJew though. They are quite expensive. You can get much better quality tents for less, but not as cool as this one.

  • That's quite an expensive tent…

  • +1

Wow! I didn't check Ozb for 8 hours and must say, i'm intrigued by everyone's comment!

I admit the price of this tent reflects more of the "looks" than anything,

Personally not a camper, but i'm sure there are cheaper and more practical alternatives out there.

But yep, these are really cool looking :)

I guess it comes down to whether or not the "coolness" worth the extra buck.

    Thanks again for everyone's feedback

  • I think it looks cool and would look really good at a campsite or caravan park.

    • yep, anyone looking for a longer stay, this one will come handy to fit a family of 4
