  • Is there a playstation version of this?

    • You will want the Arctis 9 (not 9x) - this one, the 9x, doesn't work with the PS4/PS5, even wired. When wired, the microphone doesn't work to the best of my knowledge.

    • +1

      There is a 9P

    • -1

if you are looking for the ps5 one etc, its the 7P and on amazon atm around $215

  • This is a great price for this headset. I've used these (and others such as turtle beach) and can say they are very comfortable, great sound quality, great for chat and I had no issues with using it on an xbox one.

The only downside is they can break quite easily. Mine did after just 3 months with an earcup popping out off from the headband. And a lot of others are reporting the same break, google "steelseries arctis 9x broken" and view the 100's of reddit posts where everyones headset breaks in the same spot.

  • Get yourself the Arctis 7x. 2.4ghz wireless. Compatible with Xbox, ps4/5 and Nintendo switch.

    • Where from?

      • Amazon US (via AU), or direct from steelseries US.

Nothing on Amazon, and out of stock on Steelseries.

        • Hasn't been in stock since the end of last year. I finally gave up and got something else.

  • I've got the Arctis 7 and love it (paid $249 which I didn't think was too bad). The retractable boom is actually a pretty good gimmick too.

  • I have this headset and would highly recommend it, especially at this price. It's comfortable to wear, has really good sound quality, and the dual 2.4ghz/Bluetooth connectivity is a great feature.

Make sure you update it to the latest software version though. Some headsets had connection issues and drop-outs which were fixed with an update.

    • Are you using it with a Series X?

      • Yep. I use it with the Series X and PC.

  • pretty annoyed the pros dont work with the Xbox series X as well as i'd hoped

same, would really like it if they updated them , or even released a xbox dac for them. Super frustrating that Microsoft did this nonsense proprietry driver garbage.

Check out the Steelseries Reddit before committing to this buy, seems like a badly designed headset.

    I had a pair for 10months

In the end I returned them to JB. Had major issues with interference.

When they worked they sound awesome and work well.

The constant interference, dropouts and having to hold the mic to your lips so others could hear is a major drawback.

    • Yep, I experienced the same problem as well.
When did you return them? A person above said this was fixed with a firmware update.

      • I returned mine a few weeks ago. The firmware update didn't resolve my issue.

I never worked out the source of interference. I think the primary issue is using the Xbox proprietary "

I think the primary issue is the fact the
headsets need to use the Microsoft proprietary wireless communication protocol (not Wi-Fi Direct) to connect to the Xbox. This is the same way you connect the Xbox controllers to its gaming console. This is the reason everytime I turned on the headset to connect to my phone only, it would also turn the Xbox on.

I even had the Xbox adapted for my PC and would have to alternate between the PC and Xbox and teach the headset each time. An absolute PITA. Once I couldn't work out the interference I had to give up on them…

Serious, quality is perfect. Sound is great. Comfort an absolute 10. The issues kill it

        • Do you use a mesh router by any chance?
I read somewhere that this could be the cause.

I have had these for about 2 months & game/stream most nights pretty intensively from my series x. They are awesome & so comfortable you can forget you are wearing them. Have used different high end plantronics, logitechs so far & nothing is as good
