        or Perth!

        • +2

Vote for Perth too! We are too isolated…

This sounds like a competition to me. Play to win….

You can also get these in the claw machine in Androidland. If you look hopeless after like 20+ goes, the reps usually feign some pity on you and unlock the cabinet and hand one to you instead; so pretty much a freebie.

Yes thats the same one. BTW this has been running for over a month so far so missing 1 day shouldn't cause problems

      • Your negging because its being going for a month already? Why didn't you post it a month ago then?
        Apple fanboy no doubt.

        • +1

          read explanation below??

        • I did, Still dont think its a valid reason. How is this any different to most "freebies" that always require signing up to an account, joining facebook page, filling in a short survey. There is always something.
But its still free, no $ is handed over and if you have nothing else to do then your time is not worth $ either.

    • similar, but open from the botton

  • yeah one of these stores in Sydney would sound really good they should expand to compete with the apple store. All things Android.

  • What's the game?

Put 5 balls into the androids mouth like the clowns at shows/carnivals

I work at the Telstra store, and while this promo is technically true, it's highly dependant upon how the busy the store is and what your attitude is like. Going in there and demanding your free USB will not get you far.

It's a promotion for android and the USB's are for customers which have a genuine interest in android or appear enthusiastic. The rules regularly change depending upon how busy it is. Before this deal was widely spread on Chinese language websites it was very easy to get one without scoring 22, now they can change the rules any time especially if people are taking advantage of it.

The game itself is where you put the balls in the androids mouths and they come out in various slots like the clowns at carnivals and shows.

If the whole of Ozbargain goes there tomorrow don't be surprised if the rules get changed or they start to limit the quantity per day. So please people don't abuse this "bargain" at the end of the day it's just marketing and if you try to take advantage of it you'll probably go home disappointed.

Yea cause it's not like poor old Telstra or it's sales team ever take advantage of it's customers. BoHo.

      What Chinese site?

      • I don't mind you guys trying, I was just trying to convey that it's not in any way guaranteed so don't be surprised if they change the rules/requirements to get one. I don't want people to be disappointed. Also stock is quite limited and there's probably not enough to supply everyone if this deal were ozbargained…

As staff around 5 days ago a lot more people started arriving and requesting their "free" USB. We had never offered them to everyone, just to those who expressed an interest and suddenly we had heaps of people coming just for a USB, so we asked some of them where they heard about it from and they said a Chinese forum/site so that's probably where the OP heard about this from too.

yeah agreed and its fair enough so as to prevent those freeloaders from demanding their stuff. nevertheless this shouldnt be considered as a bargain since it is intended for those with genuine interest in android. free stuff, is a bargain when people want it even when they dont need it. but in this context, it is hardly a bargain.

  • android is so cute :))

  • I think tomorrow at lunch is a good time to avoid visiting Androidland?

  • damn Telstra not offering in Sydney, I love Android!

  • I went today at 3pm. Just to see if they were still offering it. They don't do the game thing at this hour but you can try your luck with the Claw. It's free! BUT, they stick the good stuff (i.e. the android USB) at the corners where the claw simply won't reach. :/

Just wanted to complain to fellow ozbargainers that I managed to grab a plastic ball (containing a 'referee' Android tie pin), and as the claw reached the part where it drops your goodies for you to retrieve, the momentum caused the ball to hit the wall and the ball bounced back into the pit. Talk about terrible luck!!! grrrr
