  • No rumble on this one.

    • But it’s “enhanced!”

  • I would've expected a built-in rechargeable battery instead of using AA batteries

So many otherwise fine working electronics get discarded just because the device has a non (easily replaced) removable battery that has failed.

Built in batteries are not some premium feature.

Look, you never really know, but the amount of Power A controllers I've had on Xbox and Switch, they ALL shit the bed and broke down somehow. It's a matter of time and how bad, but not if.

Ideally you're lucky and it works fine for you, but I've picked up too many of their products on clearance to even bother with them anymore. The last one I got, a spare Xbox One controller for my 5 y/o for $14 bucks, the left stick won't click, so no sprinting in most games. :/

    • Power Ais rubbish . I had two have drifting issues on me for the Switch controllers within a few months only . Avoid this brand at all costs.

with 23k+ ratings @ 4.6 stars, i've always wondered if Power A just pumps out fake reviews, or if their product is as good as it says.

    • All of the reviews are taken from around the world (Amazon us, UK, etc.)

    • Fakespot tells me they get a B grade, and adjusted rating of 3.5. So certainly not too bad…

but at $47 I would rather pay a bit more for a Switch pro controller when its on sale.

  • I've actually had a decent run with my controller so far. Using it for close to a year, with no issues. I miss the rumble, and the plasticky feel is just bad, but it gets the job done as a wireless controller. I picked it up for $39, wouldn't pay any more.

Oh and PowerA's RMA is pretty easy, if you have a faulty controller. The only problem is that they ship out replacements from the US, so you have to wait a while

  • Does it come with free double As? I assume these batteries will be compatible with Xbox controllers?

  • Does it need special adapter to work with PC?

  • I got one from Aliexpress last year that looks similar, only cost me about $20 or less.
