    Submitting my first deal guys!

We can tell by the 'L' plate…

    • so the "L" disappears when a second deal is posted?

      • +2

Next is a P plate. After that it disappears.

    • I got a L plate AFTER posting 20-30 posts.

      • WOW. It took you that long to learn to post correctly ???

      • That might be a bug, I’ll ask the mods.

        • No posting anymore. Not talking to the mods either.

          • @fredk1000: They said that your first forum post also gets an L plate, and the deal was moved to the forums so it got an L. Your future deals won’t get L/P plates. Don’t let it dishearten you, I hope you continue to post deals!

              @Hargain Bunter: Thanks.

Too many posts moved the the forums so I have not been bothered.

I have not see many bargains of late anyway (been living like a hermit who does not visit any shops) which have multiple just low volume items not worth sharing.

Doesn't it is usually go for under $300?

    • +8

      under $250!

  • +2

Prices on Dell monitors aren't great at the moment.
Finally managed to sell my old monitors over the weekend (after a month of being messed around on marketplace) wanting the two of the S2721DGF, which is usually on sale every few weeks.
No decent deals since 1 July (good deal being either $359 or $383). Currently mid to high 400's.

Argh, got excited - thought this was the 4k 32 inch S3221QS. Still waiting for that model if anyone at Dell is listening…

Got this for $248 on the last round of Dell eBay sales a few weeks ago

    • +1

Hopefully that price will come back!

      • Same, got mine from the last round of Ebay deals for under $250 and delivered within 1 week even though the promised delivery timeline was more than 1 month.

    • Yep same, chuffed with it too. Have it on an arm on standing desk. Going from 4k to 34" ultrawide is funny, I thought 4k might be too small but it's so crisp and the real estate is excellent. Thoroughly recommend for productivity. Only downside is no USB-C but I can live without it for $250.

What does everybody that has bought think of this monitor?

I received last week however haven't setup yet

    • +3

its a nice, vibrant, sharp monitor for the money.

    • +1

I'm enjoying mine. Great for WFH connected to my dock.

    • For office work it’s great, good viewing angles decent colours. The HDR isn’t spectacular for media consumption but for the price who can complain as that would be a secondary use anyway. Nice thin bezels for multi monitor use.

If not using it with a monitor arm you’ll want the version with the adjustable stand.

Got one from someone who upgraded on the recent alienware 38 and I use it for email and teams split on a portrait layout. Works great and nice clear text.
But don't pay more thean 280 as that's roughly the average promo price of these

  • +1

They are still decent for 350. I've seen people do alot worse.
Bought 2 of these for 248 each recently. Dell have sales often so unless urgent just wait a bit.

  • This or LG 27UL600-W?

    • Sort of wondering that too…although I'm considering the 850

  • +3

Not a good deal, these go for $250-280 regularly on ebay sales.

    • if this is the best deal available today.. then there is no point in negging.. I refrained from providing a +ve instead

I am sure most items posted on OZB may have had a cheaper price at a previous time

      • +1

Agreed. I just dont vote up deals that aren't at or near historical lows.
Find it interesting that Dell on their website are selling it as an "overstock sale" (35% off their BS RRPs).
They know what prices move volumes of stock, they just dont want to at the moment for some reason.

        • companies operate on quarterly or half-yearly numbers.. if the trending is not going the right way, I would guess we will have a sale. :)

          • +2

@skinny: Spoke with the sales rep. They mentioned to check next Friday (30th July).
            Hopefully some decent prices.

      • So everyone should post every item available on every website as long as it's currently the cheapest price?Even if it was a huge percentage cheaper extremely recently and probably back to that price or cheaper very soon?

  • +3

probably worth waiting for another dell ebay deal instead. Hopefully there'd be one within a few weeks
