Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard for $278.00, the MLN link does not mention it is the Student and Teacher edition nor that is an upgrade, hence I assume it is the full version.

What's inside:
Photoshop® CS5
Illustrator® CS5
InDesign® CS5.5
Acrobat® X Pro
Bridge
Device Central CS5.5

Edit: Windows only.

Mod: This is the student/teacher edition.

  • grr. site not responsive. :( if this deal is for real then, like, whoa.

    • I was just about to ask whether anyone could access the website…like you, I'll be all over this if this deal is for real…

      • Ok, managed to FINALLY get in, but appears to be the Windows version, DAMNIT…:(

  • I just keep getting 'Timeout on gateway'…

    • I have no problems.

  • says "Ends Midnight 16/02/2012" at:
    https://www.mln.com.au/info_page/?id=4daydeals

    • The item page says: Ends Midnight (EST) Sunday 19/02/12

    • Says ends midnight 19/02/2012 on mine..

But then, when you click on the product, it says 'ends Sunday 19/2/2012'. I called the South Melbourne store, he confirmed the price, expiry, and that it was a full edition (not student or upgrade). SM store is out of stock, the guy said to try West Melbourne (I didn't call).

      CATCH: Windows version only.
The reason I didn't call WM store is because I need a Mac version.

Best of luck, and thank to the OP!

For an item that retails for $1800.. and not $399, do you really think that this will be a full licensed copy, with no OEM, Teacher edition or upgrade edition?

Anyone who buys it expecting a full edition with no restrictions is ultimately going to be disappointed.

    • If its for home not work use does it matter? Also I suspect CS6 will be out in a few months (generally launches are around April) do you think this version would qualify for an upgrade to the next version? (as in a reduced fee to upgrade)

Acutally found this quote online discussing the benifits / limitation of student editions of Adobe software.
"Student editions cannot be upgraded to other education editions – but do receive Adobe’s discounted upgrade pricing to all regular commercial versions (say for a future release like CS6 or CS7), or you can purchase another student edition if you still qualify. "

  • I think this might be the academic version, hence the price. Would love to be proved wrong. I live 2 streets away so I'll go check it out if they're open today.

Just went into the store and was told it's the academic version. No deal here.

After 30 mins on hold and 40 mins on the phone I found out that it's the student/teacher edition. The guy checked with many folks, including the online dept. Looks like a screwup on their part.

    • Looks like they have now updated the website to say "Student & Teacher Edition" too.

  • I buy my cs goodies here

The above is $253 win, $249 mac.

  • You can buy but it doesn't guarantee you can use it because it won't come with key. You need to fax proof of education etc (have to be a related study).

    • Surely anyone with kids at school who will use it even occasionally can justify buying it?

    • No it doesn't have to be a related study. I bought it in 2010 with student pricing and I was studying community services work as my wife does photography. You just have to have an edu email and have proof that you are enrolled in a uni (doesn't matter what course)
