Pretty good deal. Missed out on the JB deal. Not the cheapest but stacked with shop back it’s pretty good. Especially with lockdown I don’t want to wait anymore. Also I’d rather buy from good guys than the random ebay store.

  • Thanks mate. Note the code is case sensitive.

It was <$295 month ago from TGG. I say wait if you can

People still paying ~ $300 for headphones? Madness!

      • I used to say exactly that, then my partner bought one (WH-1000XM4) using his employer benefits (company provided 100% refund for headsets just before EOFY). I am really impressed, just waiting for a decent deal to get one for me.

If you don't want to spend $300, don't ever try these headphones.

  • Does Good guys have a change of mind policy?
I ordered these bad boys, but won't open the package probably till the end of next month.

If there's a deal from a reputed seller for less than $300, planning on grabbing it.

    • No, as they can't resell them due to hygienic reasons.

but won't open the package probably till the end of next month.

It sounds like the plastic shrink wrap hasn’t even been removed from the box?

        • Yep, helps to read.

My bad, didn't read what you wrote properly.
Yes, as long as the box hasn't been opened.

    • I had a look on their website, and I couldn’t find much in regards to a page outlining to the Change of Mind policy (which is a bit odd).

After looking at the website Terms and Conditions, section 13.2(d) seems to imply you may be able to return the goods, because of a change of mind:

if you are returning Goods due to a change of mind, the Goods must be in a “re-saleable” condition as determined by TGG.

I am predicting a 15-20% off code on eBay tomorrow or sometime this week. Some regular participating stores have increased their prices, e.g. mobileCiti increased their WH-1000XM4 price over 10% from a week ago. If they take 20% off, these headphones may be ~$310 delivered.

    • There’s this one out in August, but would think definitely a chance beforehand too

This is still available from Digital Direct for $319. It's back in stock.

    • Or buy two for an additional 10% store bulk discount. After discount ~$287 each!

      • Honestly not a bad idea if you want a spare pair or can find a mate who wants one too

Crazy spenders. You think$300 for a piece of headphones is value for your money?

          • @shegeloaf: For these headphones, absolutely $287 is worth it. Pretty much regarded as the best active noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones in the price bracket.

            • @MoleManMike: Better than qc35ii, noise cancellation?, How about sound quality and comfort wise though?

              • @SaberX: I'm not an audiophile in any regard, these were one of my first ventures into slightly higher end headphones, so I can't really comment on sound quality in a technical manner.

The Sony app and the headphones themselves are pretty feature rich. In terms of your sound quality question, you can set your EQ to a bunch of different presets, and there's options for custom ones that you can save as well, so you can get the sound profile how you like it, if it's not what you prefer out of the box. I found some good recommendations on Reddit to make the sound a little better than the stock EQ for the genres that I listen to (but it was already very good at stock tbh).

As for comfort, I've found them really good, have worn them a lot and for long sessions and have had no problems whatsoever.

  • Another option is $346 at JB right now (interestingly it was about ~$365 2 days ago). If you have flybuys then you can get $250 of The TEEN gift card (HIM card not included) at coles for 5250 points (equivalent to $26) . Only works with the $50 cards, see the link for more info www.ozbargain.com.au/node/640511

    • Ok, i originally read this as getting $250 gift card for only ~$26!!! :)

any amazon deals coming up? Got a couple of gift cards i need to use.

    • Update: It is back to $395 now, they keep changing the price.
