    Hardlex scratches badly? I got Crystsl Sapphire Japanese made Seiko from years ago and not a hint of a scratch

      Hardlex is really just a slightly more scratch resistant mineral crystal. A long way short of Sapphire. At over $300 this needs to have either sapphire or a 6r movement to make sense to me.

      I didn't say both. Unlikely to get a 6r sub $500 anymore but sapphire shouldn't be impossible. If you think this is good value, feel free to upvote the deal, which I don't see most of you doing…

        Do you know of any Seiko with either sapphire or a 6r movement at the $300 price range?
        Edit: should probably add "mechanical Seiko", because there are quartz Seikos at that price range but those are seriously over priced.
