    Just tested this, the pdf to word doc conversion seems quite average, images have white bands through them and all text has been debolded (if bold) and changed font, possibly because I don't have the matching font. Also doesn't keep the "bookmark" page ordering and document construction, but I didn't really expect that. Table of contents isn't formatted properly, and a bar graph for data didn't get added, only the data labels. On the other hand, the pdf to jpg option worked quite well, and I can't comment on any of the other functions. All in all, not something that I would pay $50 for :P

      It is wrong. It is not free. after installation when you convert word to pdf it is ask to register on webside and ask $29.95 USD!

    I have no use of the software now but it may become useful later. Does the key still work after 20 March 2012, or do I have to install and activate before that date?

        You would think that the key is only active til the 20 March, otherwise it is free forever. That is how giveaway of the day works - the key only works for the giveaway period.

          No I think you misunderstand me. The key will work to activate the software til hte 20th of March and you can use it indefinitely after that on every computer you have installed it on. But I don't think you can install it and activate it with that particular key after the 20th.

      Does this puppy "call home" when you install it?

      If not, I suppose you could try changing the computer's date to, say, 19 Mar 2012 before installing… (unlikely, but possible)

    I usually just use this site to convert pdf to doc http://www.pdfonline.com/pdf-to-word-converter/
    It has always just worked.
    Plus I can use it on any OS (OSX, Linux & Windows).

      You are converting the PDF, so you are not able to adjust or edit the original PDF. If you do not have the ability too.

      Now the question is, can it convert locked PDF's.

    Is this an OCR software? Meaning can I scan something into a pdf and then convert it into a text file?

      Well by definition, if you have something in PDF it can do all of the things it's listed as doing. So yes it can convert your PDF to a text file, how well it does it. Seems to be the bigger question.

      If you SCAN something, then it's just a big graphic. This software will not OCR a scan like that.

      If it's a normal PDF with formatted text, then converting it to Text File will extract that text. Of course, you can do the same thing in any PDF Reader without this software by using Select > Copy > Paste.

    I tried registering with the above code. It says thank you for successfully registering but when I re-launch it says not registered!!

    edit: I tried about 6 times, it eventually worked.

    Wow, the PDF->DOC conversion is pretty bad. All of the text gets put in separate textboxes, one per sentence it seems.

      Agreed!! I just tried it and it puts in no spaces anywhere :( It is just one jumbled mess :( This is pretty terrible conversion software, especially when you can do a better conversion yourself with a straight copy and paste of text!

    104 positives and I wonder if all 104 actually tried the program or just gave it a plus because it's free. Didn't work for me. Uninstalled immediately.

    Biggest piece of crap software ever invented, no wonder its free, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SOFTWARE, uninstalled 10 minutes after install, BLOAT SHOVEL WARE

    Uninstalled it 5 min after installing….
    Will not convert PDF into Vector - DXF, PS, etc so I will stick with my open source tools.
