      With eligible plan tho

For telstra you need to get a plan anyways so if you need a new sim, wouldn't getting the JB hifi sim deal giving $300 GC be $200 cheaper?

These prices are still ridiculous. They should all be below $1000 by now

    • Agree, I need a new phone and I would pay max $700 for a S21 128GB

These go for like $550 - $650 when Samsung has the trade in deals. I don't know that that was 4g version (or if there is a 4g only version) but 5g is not worth $500 imo

When you trade in a still pretty good recent phone.

My phone is not the best, but I only get $180 for my 128gb S10. I wasn't expecting much but to get the full $450, pretty much trading in a still top of the range within 2 year phone.

      • They were adding an extra $450 on top of whatever the value of the phone you trade in. Last time I checked my old s8 qualified for $15. $465 trade in for basically a landfill phone is better than this. You don't even have to return the phone and just pay the trade in price.

    • Thought I will chip in to maybe save some Bros the pain!
I dont know if if anyone else had the same problem, thought I was being smart to get the trade-in value you mentioned ~$590, so I bought a used iphone7 $199 in fairly good condition and battery to trade in only. Turns out while they accepted the iphone 7 as trade, when running the trade-in app by Asurion it says failed even after running App repeatedly and there are tons of 1 star feedback that says failed it for no reason in app even though there was nothing wrong with the phone at all. $0 trade-in, so no $590 discount!
Everything works fine with the iphone so go figure…..YMMV, so thats my 2 cents personal experience with the stupid trade-in App! Still have the old iphone 7 in the drawer as a spare, money wasted. ended buying a Xiaomi (1st time ever) , fantastic value for money fone IMHO, little woonder they are no1 in Europe and N.2 in the world for now even overtaking the iphone sales.

      • The app worked on my iphone 7 128gb but phone itself was only valued at $20! Thanks Samsung

  • I saw this article showing that just like the S20 vs the S10, sales have fallen off a second cliff for the S21. Meanwhile many other brands have gone in the other direction. Xiaomi now being the number one Android brand in Europe!
