seanbsydney on 07/09/2008 - 11:05 ¶just bought 2 things, $9.90 plus $10 postage and didn't pay a cent. GREAT FIND - thanks heaps!
BTW, different members of the family can each use this offer even if they have the same residential address - my daughter just ordered something for herself using the same code as me. Guess they just need their own unique email address to create a new account.

TeaEarlGreyHot on 08/09/2008 - 00:03 ¶Scored 2 mugs & 2 sets of place mats!!!
Will try for some more stuff 2moro.[ :- { )
Attacked Cow on 08/09/2008 - 18:03 ¶Yes scored some worlds sexiest man mugs!! …. .. .C'mon you know its true :)
TeaEarlGreyHot on 08/09/2008 - 20:15 ¶Lots more stuff today. DIY Gift Card set, Body Wash, Bath Milk, Photo Album… Lots of birthday presies. All Good!!!
Somehow, I'm doubtful that all these "free" orders will be honoured!
As Scotty said, this will be a VERY costly promo'…
Hopefully it will pay for itself in future sales for BigGift.[ :- { )
undiesdownunder on 11/09/2008 - 09:42 ¶I just ordered a KIDS cook book called "I'm Hungry, Let's Cook!" I'm very excited, and hoping that equipped with this new book, my 2 year old toddler will soon be creating gourmet delights for dinner. I might splurge and buy him a chefs hat and a whisk!
With the voucher, it cost $2.95. GREAT!
mr_asstight on 12/09/2008 - 08:17 ¶these things are pretty shoddy quality though. not surprised if the goods they get come from the reject shop. so they're not really spending all that much money on their b'day promotions

TeaEarlGreyHot on 12/09/2008 - 11:57 ¶Uh Oh. Now Scotty's going to have to change the coding to cope with the votes!!!
[ :- { )
TeaEarlGreyHot on 12/09/2008 - 12:34 ¶Blimey, you must be as old as I am cacbm…
And you try and tell young people today that,, and they WON'T believe you!!
Oh no! You broke my stuff! Sob sob…
I guess the fonts just need to get progressively smaller when it gets more votes. It might become unreable when 4,192,953 people voted on the same deal.
Moreover, we are still waiting to hear whether anyone has actually received their purchases from BigGift.com.au.
serendipityfair on 13/09/2008 - 21:05 ¶my order was cancelled couple of days later. no email or exlapanation!!
TeaEarlGreyHot on 15/09/2008 - 08:47 ¶My orders are currently:
1 x invoiced
2 x processing
3 x cancelled
Yes, I'd say they're working through and cancelling orders.
seanbsydney on 15/09/2008 - 22:22 ¶Had an order cancelled with the following message:
Good Morning,Your was order cancelled because the Birthday1 offer was only valid for one purchase per household.
Kind Regards

biggift.com.auMy only beef with this is that this was not recorded anywhere - if offering a deal, these things should be clearly stated (ie either they should state it in their website OR if they have done so then the person who posts the deal should record this in their post)

I received my order today along with a colour catalogue. I ordered a travel sized faux croc travel jewellery case which is good quality and exactly what I wanted with plenty of room for 8 rings and compartments for everything. I had scoured the stores looking for something like this and found nothing remotely as good. The dept. stores were charging around $40 for smaller poorly designed travel cases which would not close when you put your rings in! With the discount I paid only $4.95. Happy customer.

Orders cancelled left right and centre. Only one that I can see of mine that didn't get cancelled was the one I paid for.
I wonder what the legality of the situation is. Last time I checked, if you order something from any store and they accept your order as confirmed (like they did here), they can't cancel it. Especially not if their T&C don't say anything about the usage of the code..I'd like to see where they say 1 per household.
May be worth following up if I have the time…
seanbsydney on 20/09/2008 - 16:42 ¶You are right in my understanding - I think they messed up by not including anything in T&C's. Can't see it making any difference though, but if you do follow it up then let us know!

Hi, wondering whether anyone received the "Birthday1" offer via email could check to see if the email stated one purchase per household? This is an email reply received from them when asked why the order was cancelled: "Your was order cancelled because the Birthday1 offer was only valid for one purchase per household – this was explained in our email we sent out." Thanks.

Hi, my first time posting so I hope this works!!
The bottom of the eamil read;

www.biggift.com.auOffer valid for -
- From Thursday 4th of September 08 TIL Friday 12th of September 08 9.00am AWST
- Offer is valid for one purchase per household only - multiple orders will be cancelled
TeaEarlGreyHot on 07/10/2008 - 13:03 ¶Thanks Rae1 for supplying the confirmation as requested by others.
[ :- { )

My order arrived..but it was the one I paid money for. I guess they couldn't withhold that at all otherwise they'd be in hot water.
It was a decent deal, but still, they haven't honoured the "one purchase per household only" condition either. I ordered something for the rest of my family (different address/name entirely) but nothing's arrived there either.
Good deal, but not if the business won't follow through.
TeaEarlGreyHot on 02/10/2008 - 18:46 ¶Got my 1st order (of 6) OK - 2 x free coffee mugs.
It looks as though the others have been can'd.
But hey, how can you really complain about a freebie?
Thanks again PeteDude.[ :- { )

I got my first order (The one I paid for) a little while ago, but I am still waiting for ANY of my free ones to turn up, and that includes ones I got for my family at different houses with different names… (I emailed about one of my free orders to my household and got the "Your order was cancelled because the Birthday1 offer was only valid for one purchase per household – this was explained in our email we sent out.”
I sent them back an email asking if I would have ever been told of this had I not emailed them, because they would have decided that weeks ago and I've been waiting for the parcels like a fool… >_>
TeaEarlGreyHot on 07/10/2008 - 13:00 ¶Received another 2 of my orders this morning.
That makes 3 out of 6, just like Elicool44.
So thanks again Pete123.Cheers,
Live Long and Prosper.
