*Adding a revision to note a couple people asking about the pricing. A lot of the beers cannot be purchased individually and when they are, retail for $6 each or cannot be purchased individually and only as a case of 20. It's a great value to try before purchasing a whole case. I would suggest people google searching each beer to see :)

    Polish Beers

Can these also be drunk? Or are they only for polishing things?

    • +6

You are supposed to Polish them off quickly…

    • Sit the next play out, champ.

  • +6

"without breaking the bank on a case of 24"

At this price it is almost $150 for a case… Not very cheap…

    • -4

Instead of buying a case of every beer individually listed here :) It’s a sampler.

      • +7

Sampler doesn't make it a bargain though.

        • +2

          Agree.

$4.90/can or stubbie for local pickup in what should be a locked down city, when there have been many a true bargain on here for some pretty tasty craft beer at ~$2/beer delivered.

          Yeh, nah.

          • +6

@opposablethumbs: Depends. Half the beers cannot even be purchased at Dan Murphy's, Example, individually the BROK and Porter at Dan Murphy is $6, while for the Lomza where you can't really buy anywhere, e.g at Petersham Liquor, you can only buy per case or again $6 at specialty deli stores like Ruski Deli. Still a good deal to try before you buy a whole case and it supports a small business.

@TRAVELO: See all the comments about OzB being for bargains.

Doesn't fit the definition for me either.

              YMMV.

            • -1

@TRAVELO: The Brok example you cite is $82.99 per case of 20 at Dans, about the price someone posted above.

Sure it's 20 instead of 10 but is less than your per beer price and so your 10 should at least be competitive with this.

Repeat, not a bargain in my books.

              • +3

@opposablethumbs: I can see where your coming from but I personally see it as value too as I don't need to spend $82 or higher multiple times on a case to try one beer. Try 10 beers with a sampler pack, choose what you like and then commit to purchasing a case later :)

                • -1

@TRAVELO: And you have to pick it up for just 10 beers, in a region with high prevalence of COVID, for a price that is worse than Dans bulk price - who will deliver.

And your only point to keep claiming this as a bargain is that you don't have to buy 10 cases to get this price.

Do a search, there have been many better offers for very decent samplers of craft beer, likely to be of equal if not better quality, much cheaper and delivered.

Seriously mate, good luck if you want to keep arguing with long-term OzBers that this is somehow a bargain.

You do realise most of these are 500ml. It would be less then two of these packs to make a 'normal' case. $80-$90 a case is quite standard for decent beer.

  • Whats the regular price?

    • -1

About $7-8 per beer in the club. It was going to be $59 online but they brought it down to $49 instead.

  • +6

I think Polish beers are exceptional, but a carton of Beer is usually around the $80 mark for 20.

  • Id get this for my Old man who while Australian is pure Pole in terms of blood, but im in Qld :(

  • how the hell is this a bargain?

  • That's one expensive pack. Ima pass

  • Coming from Scotland, where prior to a similar explosion of micro breweries to Australia we had to rely on decent beer from mainland Europe, I can safely say that most of the more modern Australian efforts easily outdo Polish beer. For me history means very little in the world of beer and modern creativity and technique (which I understand is based on an evolution of legacy techniques) is everything.

    • Depends what you like, if you like classic Pilsner then the imported beers are pretty good and there aren't many better local alternatives. If you like hoppy craft beer types then there are plenty of good options in AU. In Poland from what I have seen there are also lost of similar micro brewery options locally, they just don't make it abroad. It seems to be the fashion trend everywhere at the moment.

  • I’m German and lived 37 years of my life in Germany. No one I have ever known had a Polish beer. Poland is right next to Germany…

    • +3

Makes sense, Germany is kind of known for beer nstuff.

    • +2

What's your point? That you don't know any people who drink/like polish beer? maybe you should meet more people

Similarly in Poland from what I have seen hardly anyone drinks German beer

  • The Zywiec Porter and Original are good beers

  • Great sampler of premium polish beers! Definitely worth it for a great time 💪🏻

  • Sweet. It’s a good deal considering most are 500ml bottles
