  • Can it measure oxygen saturation and blood pressure?
If not can you recommend one that can, and with long battery time?

    • I've been using the Withings Scanwatch https://www.withings.com/au/en/scanwatch for the last 6 months and have found it great with pretty nice styling (IMHO). It does ECG, HR & O2sat but not BPM. From what I understand wrist BPM is not very accurate. It comes up on deal regularly at places like JBHiFi.

Mi Band 5 & 6 measures that and with a pretty good battery life.

      • The mi band measures blood pressure?

        • +1

Yep, the 5 has blood oxygen and the 6 has both oxygen and pressure.

          • @mangobango: I have one of them and it definitely does not have BP meassurement.

            • @dosada: Yes you're right sorry, I searched a couple of sites that said it has blood pressure, but as per the below link/further digging it seems that was just false info.

I don't think so, some web site have fake information said they have.

@superforever: I stand corrected, wonder why some websites say it has blood pressure.

It measures the blood oxygen though at least.

I have both sizes of this watch. I really quite like them, battery life is great and they look nice.

      That said

This watch doesnt even measure heart rate properly.

      Also:
To do oxygenation you really need a proper device (like the cheapish finger sensors you can get)
And lastly ,no watch can measure blood pressure properly.

      • This watch doesnt even measure heart rate properly.

Sometime I really don't know they are correctly or not.

      • It depends; I had that watch before and can assure you that it CAN measure the HR properly BUT you need to make sure it sits tight. Rather common issue with all optical sensors, as far as I know.

Also, under certain conditions, their algorithms tend to…errr.. show strange things. Friend of mine saw 300+ bmp on his Galaxy watch :-)

    • None of these MEASURE blood pressure.

  • Its everywhere $159 all year round… I reckon GTR 2 would be a huge improved update at least in appearance aspect which is my major concern for a smartwatch. Not worthy to buy a GTR 1 at this moment. pretty old model.

    • Not worthy to buy a GTR 1 at this moment. pretty old model.

Yeah, I am also waiting for the GTR 2 or 2e cheaper, what do you think about HUAWEI Watch GT 2?

      • I am not really into huawei products considering the price although I'm Chinese. I do like the GT2 pro version as premium material, solid quality (seems), better design. But If you look at their unbox videos you may find they share same processor and system slow and unsmooth. Also GT3 has released for a while, and these 2 gen still sell for the premium price.
Always buy the newer gen not the old model unless they are pretty cheap.

Personally would recommend Galaxy watch, up to date model, similar price (Education store deal) or ticwatch ~$250 deal price.

If anyone after Stratos I'd suggest getting a previous model. Got my second one recently under $100.

    • From where please? Link would be great. Thank you.

  • Great watch, have had mine for almost 2 years now. Battery life is still incredible. Around 20 days now vs over 30 when new.

The software is very stable and the GPS issues has been addressed.

The leather/rubber watch strap is really good quality. I wear mine everyday and the strap and watch still looks like new.

    • The leather/rubber watch strap

      Is it came with both?

      • No the strap material is a mix of leather and rubber. The rubber is on the inside. Leather on the outside.

This is the first watch Ive gotten where the strap hasn't disintegrated after a year of use.
