    Waiting for Iphone pro

    • what is the best price you have found on Pro so far?

      • +2

        $1699 for 128gb

        • +1

the pros are what regularly sell so not a real need to get rid of stock before the 13. Fingers crossed for you though!

Wait and see what Apple will announce in one month’s time

Copycat…..they did this so they don't have to price BEAT JBhifi.
Should make it cheaper than JBhifi, or come up with good deals more often.
But still a deal as it's currently the best deal. But OW doesn't seem to offer cashback or none discount gift card can be found

  • Wanting to PB with OW to save another $50 but OW was too quick.

Remaining option for me is 3% AGL rewards GC or wait another 2 weeks. Many are saying it won’t drop below the Telstra $1,049 but it just dropped $70 in barely 2 days.

Given they don’t run out of stock

$949 from the first Telstra day deal.

64GB is unusable, 128GB is awkward to use.

    • +10

      64GB is unusable

Maybe for you, but I think a lot of people would manage fine with 64GB

      128GB is awkward to use

What on earth does that mean?

      • +2

Better to buy 128GB. 64GB is not enough nowadays.

        • +1

Everyone has different use cases mate.

          • @bigosmallo: Apps are getting bigger as times go by. If someone wants to use it for a few years storing photos locally, playing big size games then at least 128GB size is the way to go.

      128GB is awkward to use

Probably the stupidest comment I've read all week. How exactly is the capacity of yout phone's storage "awkward"?

  • Anyone know if Harvey Norman does price matching when paying with gift cards? Shopback is doing 7%.

    • They would price match. Just don't tell them upfront you are paying with gift cards.

      • Does it make a difference if I tell them?

        • Maybe or maybe not. But why would you tell them how you are going to pay unless they ask

    • Any luck with price match request? I can't understand how their live chat system works

      • I’m waiting on a HN rep to get back to me. Someone in the JBhifi thread said they tried and HN refused the price match.

Found out today iphone no longer comes with headphone and charger

Wow talking about an excuse on being green while cutting cost. But people need to buy those seperately

    • +1

At this stage, the majority of iphone sales are to people who have previously owned an iphone. The remainder (and minority) those buying a phone for the first time, or switching from another device like android which accounts for a relatively low percentage market of their sales.

The charger was removed to be green whilst probably (more important to apple) cut costs, however i'd say based on reviews and general internet talk, people haven't complained about the scenario because most of their target audience already own multiple apple chargers.

As for the headphones, I have had apple iphones from 6 - 12, and have never taken the headphones out of the plastic wrapping. Again, the majority of iphone users on a premium device like the new 12 aren't using cheap wired headphones.

To be honest Apple is extremely successful in convincing and making a change causing influence in the industry. Being green is a mere excuse. But not providing the correct lighting to USB-A cable so people can at least use old chargers is not on. Not including charger and headphone is a scam to make you buy them.

Because you need to buy a fast charger if you want faster charging which comes by default on other Android smartphones.

They also got everyone to get rid of 3.5mm believing wireless is the way to go

Best thing is they haven't cut down prices to not include those stuff. Therefore they are profiteering

First they make you buy airpods, now extra charger as well if you don't have one. Even better when you don't have USB PD or fast charger you would have to spend. So how is that more green…

Wired headphones on my LG v50 sounds awesome and unmatched by Bluetooth unless you go with Sony wireless headphones like the MX. I see nothing wrong using the bundled headphones they are fine for everyday use. Not everyone need that luxury.

It's so easy to drop your airpods too for that matter

When you sell your old iPhone you would expect to include the charger for the next person. Therefore you wouldn't have kept it for your new iPhone

I'm a very old iPhone user from 3GS to 6. I gave up using them after knowing what they bring up and getting into.

Note this is not an argument but I do feel Apple cheapen up and have lame excuses. If you want to be green don't make anything don't even buy a smartphone for that matter

        • Amen brother Amen preach your way to Android heaven

Are these likely to get cheaper in any upcoming sales? Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Or even if/when the 13 comes out? Mrs Ario is looking to buy for her kids ahead of Christmas.

    • +1

Guessing iP12 will be phased out, line up will be 13Pro->13->11->XR because if they keep iP12, very difficult to justify the cost for iP13 over 12 as minor differences between the two.

  • Good deal got a 128gb black from GoodGuys Ballina, price matched with JB and take another 10% of at TRS tomorrow so $953.10 all up.

So glad this deal came up I was so close to getting a 128gb XR.
