  • Can someone remind me what they give out for $30 spend? Figurines?

    • +2

Blind pack with one item (ie one shelf, one figurine)

      • +3

You dont know what's in it before opening right? Like a Gatcha game pull. Going for constellation 6 store manager.

        • Correct. same as any of these promos.

  • Pretty dumb to charge FP for the trucks. Why not have discounted prices with a $30/$60/$90 purchase?

    • +1

Probably cause people will pay anyway

      • Yeh, but TBH - kind of lost interest when you have to pay for so many extra bits. Might as well get real lego set.

        • I dont do lego, nor do I really ever spend $30 in one transaction, but I guess some do just for a bit of fun!

          • @Rain Cloud: @rainbowbutterfly: I take it you never buy for more than 1 meal and you don't eat meat! It's been a long time since I spent less than 30 at woolies!

            • @jsefrog: No, i have issues and dont eat much. That is spend for a week.

  • +5

I reckon it a buy it when it goes 75% off at the end .

    • when do you think this will happen?

      • I haven't look it up yet where this brick promo ends .

  • -1

There are going to be a heap of people not ok on R U OK day today after seeing this. People get really really upset. Same with Bunnings bricks.

    • +1

      Not understanding the correlation

      • The amount of people that get so worked up negging and having massive arguments about it.

        • Oh. Its just a promo trying to get people to spend? Doesnt work for me anyway, i refuse to spend just because they want me to

          • @Rain Cloud: People like to call the bricks landfill among other things. Because apparently those who want them are going to throw them straight into the bin. Lockdown has made them delusional.

            • @Clear: Meh ok..lol

            • +1

@Clear: I've seen those comments and opinion pieces too. They're usually quite narrow in their viewpoint aren't they.

If someone doesn't want a promotional item, the Woolworths staff aren't sneaking it into someones handbag or chasing people out into the carpark and hurling it into an open car window leaving people no choice but to throw it in the bin.

At least with these bricks, they'll go into a kids big box of Lego which eventually gets passed down to another child They could easily get literally decades of use.

    • I agree . For me it all about the Woolworths advertising on them . My only attraction .

  • +1

I love the way that they had to clarify that the electric truck is not a Tesla in the full catalogue: https://imgur.com/a/g4s7ebG

  • The trucks and figurine pack is already pretty much sold out in VIC. Hoping they do a restock but the store I called said they weren't going to get anymore

    • Why a truck and figure set sold for $75 on Ebay lol .
      Note the 1 hehe .
My area is surround by this in huge quantities .

      • Oh which area are you in? Maybe I'll try and click and collect from there

      • 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When lego is done half assed, it's garbage.

    What's wrong with people.

    • -1

Gees… it's just a promo. You take it all bloody serious. Probably take it serious too, of not getting vaxed.

  • Where's the bargain? Isn't this the normal price?

    • Harder to get than PS5s, cheaper than and is compatible with lego. Simular detail and quality as lego.

      • +2

Simular detail and quality as lego.

        LOL… no way…

Similar to the ones sold at the Reject Shop perhaps…

        • +1

It's nowhere near the detail and quality of Lego for sure, but if you aren't into Lego, it is actually quite good. Pieces stick together well, minimal gaps, consistent piece sizing. I am into Lego, and do are my kids, we have loads of it. We got the truck two buildings, and about a dozen packs cause we spend a lot on food. Great fun with the kids for an hour in lockdown! Can recommend!

          • @jsefrog:

Great fun with the kids for an hour in lockdown!

I don't think anyone has had lockdown for only an hour…

  • Not available NSW and ACT until 22nd Sept.

    • Don't worry the boys are selling to them at triple the price .

    • +1

      Why not?

  • Seems expensive especially for fake Lego. The real deal Lego sets can be bought on sale for similar amounts. I still bought the lot anyway for the kids because I'm a Lego fan and also like the novelty. Got 21 blind bags to hopefully keep the kids happy during lock down. One bag per week…

  • +1

Picked up the basic and deluxe set today, spent $31 and the lady in the self checkout gave me 11 blind bags.

    • +1

That is so wrong. No wonder why ppl miss out. Hope you swap the extra

      • I say good on him .
11 extra bags out of millions of them is nothing and surely better than the normal inside staff trading ( although I don't think this is hot enough for too much of that lol ) .

      • +1

yeh i'll do whatever i want thanks

    • I got the deluxe, a truck, and a people pack, and a couple of things from bakery. Earned 1 blind bag. Team member took my receipt and wrote on it before giving me the 1 bag. Bit different to your experience 😂
