[Solved] Wofea/Meross Garage Wi-Fi Door Opener Not Connecting to TP-Link Deco X20

Hi Ive been using the wifi garage door opener and yesterday I switched my router to Deco X20 WiFi6 mesh. Now the kit doesn't want to connect (using only 2.4ghz as per instructions) Does anyone reckon it's because it's due to WiFi6?

I ask this because my really old laptop also cannot detect the network and with some googling discovered I need to download a driver so that it can pick up wifi 6 network.

Thanks

    The Deco still provides 2.4ghz - maybe you just need to turn it on? Make a seperate ssid for the 2.4ghz network.

    I doubt muchly you can software upgrade either the old laptop or the Meross to do wifi6.

    However, some Wifi6 stuff just ain't very compatible with old stuff. I had hell of a time with my Asus mesh and Ikea/Sonos stuff - ended up having to cable it in to get it work.

    Nah Wi-Fi 6 is backwards compatible. You don't need a driver. Have you setup a guest Wi-Fi network with only 2.4GHz?

        Open Deco app
        Open the More menu
        Wi-Fi
        Turn on guest network
        Turn off 5GHz
        Give your Wi-Fi network a name
        Create password
        Security = WPA2-PSK (AES)
        Save

    I had to leave the 2.4ghz on my router. I just changed the name of it to + devices at the end so I know which one it is as my printer kept losing connection.
