I used to love my BB… Pity it's a dying platform in the Western world…

Not dying yet. Next operating system will let you to download applications from Android. I think Blackberry is very much alive.

well, actually, android developers will have the option of applying a special bit of BB magic to their apps to make it available on the BB. BB users won't have access to the android market. It relies on the android developers wanting to make their apps available for BB10.

  • The torch 9800 & 9810 are not very good phones. The speaker is not as lound as curve or bold and there is issues with the touchscreen.

Would prefer the current model torch not these superceded models, that probably dont even support blackberry os 7

    • The Torch 9810 is the current model Torch (both it and the 9860 were released basically at the same time). It ships with BB OS7 as standard.

      • ahh okay, still a terrible phone

  • Not so much phones can bring you a duration time moren than 2days now…… But BB can. The 8310 on my hand can work for 4 days after recharging. It's good when I use it for navigation, and I am always the backup for Iphones…..

  • Am I missing something? These say they do not have Next G, but are quadband? I thought quadband had Next G (850Mhz)?
Ok got confused, these are not great for telstra networks, no Next G or 850mhz, which voda use as well. Kinda need that for blackberry if you are on voda or telstra.

    • Quad-band 2G (850/900/1800/1900) and Tri-band 3G (900/1900/2100)
      Telstra Next G is 850Mhz 3G

  • The 9800 and 9810 are terrible phones. Units randomly freeze on users. Pad stops functioning, only to work fine after a hard reset. They seem to have been rushed.

  • So much hate for BB, I thought the Torch was a good phone but hated the touch screen and keyboard. The only reason I bought one was for the keyboard, the Curve and Bold are better choices.
