$202.81 for the 1TB version with the game, much better bang for buck

Link you posted is without the game. 1tb with battlefield is $346.39 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B099FNMV34/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_g…

Right you are! Still better value tbh, unless you really wanted another BF game. Unfortunately I can't edit the reply now.

That's a massive difference for the 1TB model. $144 for the game in that instance undoubtedly makes the 500GB the best bang for your buck if you're into BF games.

Yeah I meant the $202 1TB without BF is the better deal (not the $346 with) but then again I'm well over FPS games nowadays.

          • @[Deactivated]: I tried BF1 on the Xbox last night (picked it up for free) and just can't get into FPS on console.
Used to be a big fan of FPS on PC, but must have mellowed out over the years into RTS and other sims.

Unfortunately, with the increasing push to online multiplayer (and not being able to host your own LAN or servers), it takes away the fun component when you'd set up matches on your server and nerd it up with mates.

Always online with games like D3 really lead the way and unfortunately have made it harder to play older games when they shut servers down.

            • @Revrnd: Yeah I used to only play FPS for the best part of a decade, I've still picked up the Halo collection on Steam and a few Gears games but I can't enjoy them. I got a CoD game for free with something and played all of 5 minutes of it, like you said I'm more into simulators nowadays but also enjoy Soulsbourne like games as well. The idea of people hacking in FPS so easily really put me off of them.

I think with the game this is a pretty good deal. Just another thing to keep in mind, I got the 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus the other day for $165 which has better specs than this one and it comes with a $20 Steam voucher through redemption at the moment.

link for this? Which store did you guy it from?

        • They're asking for the link to the 1TB Evo Plus deal for $165.

          • @MiscOzB: It's gone now. It was the 5% afterpay bonus discount on Ebay

      • Sorry yeah, I didn't realise it was only a one day deal.
The best I can find is $180 here using a $5 eBay Plus voucher.

Note: Buying from Shallothead, Shopping Express or GG.Tech all qualify for the redemption as they are affiliated with KS Computer Technology.

    • I too would like the link to this.

  • Sadly it's still the same overall spec as the $97 500GB SN750 Gen3.

The inclusion of PCIe Gen 4 doesn't improve speeds (which is a shame) nor have they increased endurance 300TBW.

So essentially you're getting BF 2042 for $45 (which in itself is a reasonable deal for AAA game).

Was eyeing off this or the vanilla SN750 myself, thanks for posting the deal.

Does this come with heatsink and is it compatible for PS5 internal storage ?

  • I cant see for sure, but assuming this is an EA origin key that wont activate on Steam?

Doesnt say for sure, but it seems to be the case - https://shop.westerndigital.com/products/internal-drives/wd-…
