Free MP3 Downloads - Ausgrid Master Series and Meet The Music Series

300

This'll bring out the real bargain hunters: Who hates classical music but loves free stuff so will download it anyway? ;-)

As Community Partner of the Sydney Symphony, Ausgrid is delighted to offer a selection of music from both the Ausgrid Master Series and Meet the Music Series, also presented by Ausgrid, for your listening.

Load your music player with free recordings from Sydney Symphony performances and see where the music will take you. The selection ranges from Debussy’s La Mer to Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No.2, and a highlight is Australian composer James Ledger’s Bassoon Concerto, which was premiered earlier this year with the orchestra’s own Principal Bassoon, Matthew Wilkie. We hope you will find music to energise and inspire.

  • Who doesn't love classical music?? The people who tell you they don't are probably the ones who own the soundtracks to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc etc… :)

    Thanks for me Sean B.

  • Downloaded and lovin it

  • Andrew Wilkie is one of, if not the, best bassoonist I have ever heard. Such an amazing tone.

  • My mate used to do donuts while listening to classical music.

  • Debussy - my fav

  • Nice find.. but the downloads are terrible quality - especially for classical music
(56kb cbr? That's not even gym junkie quality!)
+for the find not really - get a cd or quality download (iinet have a deal with WASO for making some of their performances online quota free)

    • Would have to agree - it's probably comparable to FM radio quality.

Interestingly though, the Debussy and Berlioz are 320kbps, sampled at 44.1kHz, so it's at least 2 decent quality tracks.
The rest, for those who don't mind radio quality.
