I’ve done a bit of research, but am still tossing up between getting the Air or Mini. I’ve seen the Air has been discounted in the past, but nothing recently. Should I hold out for a drop in price again or buy the Mini for retail. I’d most likely upgrade to the Air 5 upon release. I want to minimise any losses as much as possible.

What's your use case for getting a mini? size and being able to carry it (e.g. in a purse) and maybe hold with one hand?
The only thing being that I’ve had mini’s in the past and they can do everything I need from a tablet I guess. I’ve had an air 2 and have a 3 atm. I would appreciate the larger screen size. I just don’t want to pay full price on what will soon be an old model.

Unfortunately the battery isn’t getting me 3 hours of medium use. A few times it’s chewed through the battery in 30 mins.
Any idea when the Air 5 launches?
Portable/one handed use vs more screen space. Kinda simple IMO.
That said maybe wait for the Air 5 unless you need to upgrade due to battery life or perf.

if you're splashing out for a mini id say its pretty hard to justify taking a hit on re-sell and going for an air5.
I have a 11 m1 and while I love it, I thought the mini was actually a pretty good size.
