Impossible Sending Video to Amazon Support

I've been back and forth with 3rd party seller on Amazon that request a video to prove that a product is faulty. However Amazon seems going all out to try blocking the video of being sent.

I've tried the following:
. Upload to onedrive and share the link - Amazon removed the link
. Alternative email address removed by Amazon
. Upload video directly on chat - video too large error
. Compres video and upload on chat - invalid file types
. Compress video to zip and upload on chat - invalid file types
. Rename video to .pdf and upload on chat - message sent but later attachment removed by amazon and send empty message to seller

Not sure what's a proper way to send a video for support.
I don't have any issue contacting support until now, as usually photo is sufficient. But not in this case.

I think link will get removed by Amazon, the same way as link to onedrive.

Spell out the link with a clue or make an acrostic poem

    • Good idea, I'm just hoping that the customer support is smart enough to piece together the cryptic message.

      • No one can hope that much. Good luck

type the url in notepad - save screen shot as jpg
      attach and send

      • The thing with links is that they're usually complex; using a picture they'd have to type out the link as they saw it. You could just as easily type it and not save it as a link; that way it could be copied and then pasted.

        • Then the link would be removed

If it accepts photos, maybe provide via photo with the written link to the upload address on a piece of paper or even from your computer search bar.

Could conveniently have the product in question within the same photo, that way Amazon shouldnt second guess its existence.

      Another great idea!!!

    • Or generate QR code

  • Ask the seller to send you an email address that you can send the video/link to?

    • This got blocked as well by amazon

      • Their email address? Or the message which you asked (unlikely)

Just ask them to type it like

        (email) at domain. Com

        • Yes the email address part is redacted by amazon.
We finally get through by sending email address with weird spelling like you suggested.

Amazon really make people's life harder

Don't buy from 3rd party sellers on Amazon. The support structure is nowhere near as good as items sold or fulfilled by Amazon themselves. They'll just tell you to go sort it out with the seller yourself.

This is where eBay and their buyer protection comes into it's own.

  • I'm pretty sure you can trouble shoot without video. As long as you explain clearly you should be fine. Some seller are just being difficult and very untrusted. Seller on Amazon should be aware that you can't provide links and email address form as t in the amazon messages. If you have opened return, and the enquiries seems to go nowhere, just open A-Z guarantee , Amazon will close the return will full refund. You will still need to help seller to return the product though, on seller expense.

Upload a photo with the URL. Go into Paint type the URL, use a URL shortening service, than type it save it and send it like that.

This is how we do it on eBay.
