        Do you have ripples/dimples down the sides of your G1? I've read it's normal but i just want to see how consistent it is between sets.

          Yes dimples/wavy effect right in the end on both sides coming down from top to bottom. I thought it was due to handling of the tv via hands when mounting it but seems to be widespread and normal.

          Only noticeable during day if you look closely through light reflections.

            @jedimaster: I say it's "normal" but i probably should say it's common on the G1 77. I don't think it should be normal because when theres a bit of light in the room i can see it while watching TV which is very distracting. Not sure if the Sony 77s are the same, i'm guessing yes since it's the same panel.

          Depends on where you will put the TV. If too much outside light, go G1. If you can conver with blinds, then BX can serve fine. Slim profile is also a difference. G1 comes with wall mount included and new magic remote with NFC. Also webOS 6.0 in new models.

    Picked up a 65 C1 a couple days ago for $3,000 from good guys; very helpful sales person who didn’t muck around. Had to wait a couple weeks for stock to arrive but sounds like there’s been a bit come in just now.

    Any recommendations on a wall mount and the best way to go about mounting?

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the G1 so I need to save every dollar ;)

    I pulled the trigger on this last night- it said the advertised price of 3995 (prior to adding coupon) was due to expire yesterday so I panicked lol. It looks like this has been extended to Friday in line with the coupon.

    I originally paid the $35 delivery however rang the web admin today and got that refunded as the free delivery and install does apply to web purchases also.

    I didn't take up the free installation (wall mounting) offer though- as I believe they will literally screw the bracket to your wall studs hang the tv and leave. Can anyone confirm this with the free install services?

    I need to get power and cables etc up in the wall as nothing is there currently so was planning on installing myself so I can put a full recessed media box in the wall that will have power and cable management to get hdmi down to my soon to be wall mounted soundbar (yamaha ysp 5600) and down to the tv cabinet below for any other devices that will need hdmi potentially in the future. I am planning to sit my apple tv 4k in the recessed media box so the TV can sit flush as designed. Do you guys this this is a good idea?

    Ordered the 65" G1 on the weekend.

    Just got a call from the Good Guys store closest to my house informing me that they are out of stock on the product nationally.

    They don't have an ETA on when additional stock will be coming but said it could be as far as 2 months from now.

    Also said that they don't have it in stock in any other stores to send across from.

    Option they gave me were to:

    • Cancel the order
    • Change the order
    • Wait for stock to arrive

    Has anyone else received a call like this?

        chose the G series specifically for the wall mount so selecting an alternative OLED model or other TV is not really an option :/

      That's why I ordered on Oct 7th from the eBay sale, the G1 is produced in much lower units than the c1 because it's a new factory, add global shipping delays and now is not the time to hesitate on purchases
