3% moneyback when buying from Apple
[Rep] Steve on 05/06/2007 - 22:11 (secure.moneybackco.com)

Again we were going to wait until the website relaunch before unveiling this excellent moneyback offer, but we just couldn’t wait!

We’ve been trying for weeks to get this campaign and thought it cruel not to offer it straight away to our fellow bargain hunters.

Buy from the Apple Store online and get 3% moneyback. That’s the best moneyback/cashback deal you’ll find anywhere.

Happy shopping…

It’s actually a very good bargain if you are buying someone from Apple.

Does Apple Store online include educational purchase? ie. Can you get the 3% off on top of the 10% off educational price?

Gee. That is a very good deal! Now we just need to have Dell’s moneyback deal to accompany Apple’s one (hint hint) :)

As of EDU discount, I think it should work if it goes through the same checkout point, but sorry I cannot verify. Don’t have any student in my household :(

Moneyback said they give the full amount back. Guess what the percentage from apple is 3.5%!

hg — I have to edit out foul languages and accusation. I have just checked and Apple is indeed only offering 3% commission to their online affiliates. Can you show to me where you can get 3.5% affiliate commissions? Please use the contact form to send me the links, otherwise I will treat it as false accusation and delete the comments.

I used “what a scam” because someone else used it elsewhere in reference to moneyback co.

I am a Apple affiliate. It is 3.5%. I will contact you with the proof.

You may well get 3.5% (and if its via a recognised affiliate network let me know) but we only get 3% using the affiliate network we use and I will gladly send you the details via Scott if you like.

I don’t think the language and accusations you used in your original post helps anyone, you need to get your facts straight first I think.

How do you get the 10% education discount?
I followed the link and went to the education store and the video ipod 80gb is still $479.
Please help…

Hey Thomas — I think you are right, the iPod 80GB is still $479 regardless whether you are going through EDU or normal Apple store. The EDU discount only applies to computers.

I do remember friends going to the Apple shop on campus (UNSW) and bought an iPod with EDU discount — but that was a while ago.

Yep. iPod’s are not included any more, but everything else is.

If I remember correctly. the Education discount no longer applies to Ipods. I think I remember reading it on the website a while ago…

If I was not wrong, If you buy an Apple computer with EDU discount, you would also get a a $200 off iPod.

My friend got that few months ago, pretty sure it still applies.
