Question Regarding Warranty Repair on Caravan

Just bought a new caravan and all was good until one of the plumbing connectors failed and started leaking, partially flooding the area near the leak.

I don't live near the dealer but he directed me to another caravan outfit near me and the leak was repaired - all good. Now the problem is that the water caused the particle board underneath the shower door to bulge/swell and it looks like a sizeable job to get it repaired/replaced.

I haven't contacted the dealer as yet about this but the leak caused this problem so it should be a warranty repair as well - is this correct?

That would be a fair assumption, yes.

Correct……. but that doesn't mean they'll want to do it first time you ask.

  • Yes.

  • How new? But, yes. Should be rectified to as new condition as part of the repair under warranty.

  • Thanks for your replies. Vans only days old; photo's sent to dealer. They've been good so far so hoping it will be treated as a warranty issue.
