Better off buying the 6-way surge board (M7806), which is currently $39.

  Not all instances will you need a 6 way surge board. Sometimes you just need the one, or two, where you can use one each in separate rooms. Comes down to need rather than 2 versus 6 board.

    Absolutely - don't need a six-way board for just a fridge, so at $10ish each this is a good buy for the protection offered.

  Just need to hook up a cheap 4 outlet power board to one of these. 4 Computer or home entertainment devices ( probably even 6) are not going to exceed 10A max load. Many cheap power boards have 10A overload cutouts anyways.
