Slitherhen on 23/03/2012 - 12:28 ¶received mine from the mail a few days ago and i have to say i'm quite impressed, for the price its one of the best. However i did find the battery life to be disappointing.

Looks like Optus has too many stock to get rid of, so this deal keeps popping up.
Ordered it in last CoTD deal, took 9 days to arrive, not bad.
The phone works well, but after hunting hours on the internet I've come to realise there isn't a PC suite available for this phone, what a shame (Correct me if I'm wrong).
I have an iphone 4 and this phone.
I prefer the LG more because of the tasks I do on a phone.
Pros of LG:
Slick, Slick,Slick ( I never see a lag)
Quick Browser ( Much faster than safari)
Amazing Interface ( Feels effortless to use and type)
Great Screen
Good Wifi Connection ( Much better than my iphone 4)
Solid Build
Awesome inbuilt message feature( Built in message feature first sends message to IM if on msn, then to facebook if on facebook and then to mobile phone if they are not online)
Great at multi tasking
Good sized screen. ( Fingers don't hurt when typing like the iphone 4)Cons of LG:
Limited apps
More expensive apps
Average camera
Doesn't look that good without a cover( I got a coloured cover that matches the screen colour and now it looks awesome)
Pros: you have heard a lot so no dup here
Cons:
- Less configurable user interface and limited choice of themes.
- No folder support so icons spread around.
- No PC suite as mentioned above which is useful for super quick texting and managing contacts, calendar, etc.
- Average reception(at leaset on Vodafone compared to my nokia n95).
- No FM radio.Overall I still think it's a good phone.
happychild100 on 23/03/2012 - 13:24 ¶"-no FM radio"
You went and looked in the Music and videos app right? I'm not sure about the LG phone but i know my htc hd7 Windows Phone has radio.

happychild100 on 23/03/2012 - 13:27 ¶The amount of apps is getting better by the day, currently at 70,000+. Is there any specific apps you need/want? Asking here or on whirlpool, some people may be able to give you an idea if there is an un/official app or not.

happychild100 on 23/03/2012 - 13:31 ¶My mum ordered this phone on the 8th too and has just got it today, we are in WA also.

kshitijdesai on 23/03/2012 - 14:39 ¶Nice deal, brings down to $149.05 delivered with ILOVECATCH coupon code.

I've 'downgraded' from iPhone 4 to this. Very happy as most people have said - great phone for the price. The touch interface is equal to the iPhone while I've found the touch keyboard on the LG is better - love it.
The only things I am missing are cheap/big selection of iOS apps (angry birds is $3.49!) and a decent camera (the LG camera is very average).
iPhone 4 is $400+ so happy with $157 shipped (used iOS app to purchase on last deal)

Hi all,
I bought this phone from the last deal for my mum and just received it yesterday. I upgraded it to WP7 7.5 Mango before giving it to her but she finds it too complicated to use (She is back to using her Nokia 3310).
So I'd like to sell it for cheaper than this deal. I'd like to sell it to someone in Melbourne as I am able to meet up/deliver in northern and eastern suburbs or City.
Please PM if interested.
King Tightarse on 23/03/2012 - 16:33 ¶Anyone find the SAR radiation levels for this phone?
Had a quick look but couldn't find this exact model.
Previous LG phones have been pretty high.Slowly being tempted. I'm sure we'll see it again.

http://www.sarshield.com/english/radiationchart-lg.htm
LG E900 Optimus 7 SAR rating(1.6W/kg) = 0.63 and SAR rating 2.0W/kg) = 1.47
But i have no idea what that means.
But then this website "http://www.phonerated.com/c-lg+e900+optimus+7-pros-and-cons-review" says its 1.28 w/kg which is apparently really bad ????

According to the Manual:
The SAR limit recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP)
is 2W/kg averaged over 10g of tissue.
• The highest SAR value for this model phone tested by DASY4 for use at the ear is 0.935 W/kg (10g) and when
worn on the body is 1.47 W/Kg(10g).
• The SAR limit recommended by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1g of tissue.
