This is a great kit for $29 and a good entry level one if you're looking to get more Trackmaster sets later down the track and combining sets.
My Toddler loves it, plenty of entertainment.
If you want a cheap way to get another motorized engine then this small kit for $19 with a motorized Thomas is pretty good

Does it come with the fat controller?

Great price Op! Just one thing; you will need to dedicate time with younger children to put this together. It’s a bit of a shambles instruction book.

  • This is great value compared to all the other track sets as you get heaps of track. Tempted to buy another to make a super size track! I also found the trains stay on this better than my old track with a single line down the middle.

  • The value for these train sets are great, but the quality of the tracks are mediocre, I mean it's kind of like a soft plastic, which is safe for kids to play but it also warps easily and isn't as firm. However it's quite a fun set because it can do quite a few permutations of track layouts.

  • What's the normal price?

    • It's always $29 at Kmart, and amazing value for what it is.

  • MY order got cancelled. wonder why

    oh out of stock. damn

    • the website is a mess
store shows stock on front screen but OOS in cart/back screen
stock shows in cart/back screen but OOS in front screen

tried to order with find another store in case option.
just got refunded in the end

  • Can't click and collect this anywhere in Brisbane as far as I can see, and OOS online :(

  • It’s great for a while but I prefer the wooden sets as they are easier to put together. I also prefer the magnet trains as the couplings on our plastic trains are mostly wrecked.

    • Any links?

      • I look out for them at op shops, fetes and garage sales to be honest.

      • Ikea

  • I bought this from my son couple of years ago, great value for money, 29 is the normal price but its not eazy to find, i guess it sells out fast.

  • definitely requires a PHD to put together, but $29 is a great price, shudder every time he wants it setup.
