These are great scales, and for the price this is a bargain, I paid $150 for mine and recommend them for anyone. Much better then normal weight scales.

      I own a set of Tanita's and have had them for over 5 years now and they are a good set of scales.

    bioelectric impedence isnt a very good/accurate way of measuring bodyfat. they can be quite off and dont show true gains/losses.
    ive got a pair at home and the readings can vary quite a bit. whilst i dont have this particular model, i have a similar set of scales that were quite expensive and utilise the same technology.

      That's very true, but it's probably the easiest way to measure body fat in the home (short of my girlfriend pinching me).

      Yeah, I came to the same conclusion. I bought it anyway, but I don't have too high expectations as it seems like a really obscure model. Impossible to find any info even once I figured out the model number and not even listed among the many scales on tanita.com, but oh well.
