Wanted: KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer KSM150. Not from America/overseas.

Hi all :)

I'm after a KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer model KSM150 in the colour Empire Red [if empire red isn't an option; black, boysenberry or candy red will do].

I do not want one from overseas, or the Amercian version, as it needs a transformer and you only get 1yr warranty compared to the 5yrs we get here in Oz.

Price range has to be between $500 -$650 including delivery or pick up if based in Sydney. I don't mind if it's an online store or physical store.

Refurbished or factory second Kitchenaids are an option only if it includes warranty.

Another [less desirable] option is to put it on lay by; I've only come across 1 store that does so in Sydney but the price is $788 which is not in my budget.

Am aware that Costco have another model in stock, but I'd prefer the Artisan if at all possible.

Thanks in advance! :)

  • This store in Castle Hill says it has it for $645 including delivery

Never seen or bought from them before, but it's in Castle Hill so you may be able to do a pick up.

    • I've got a few things from their store in castle hill. they stock some nice kitchenware brands plus they stock the really big pots and pressurecookers.

  • Given that www.220-electronics.com have it for US$641 delivered, AU$645 from Australia is worth it simply for the warranty.

  • $636.65 DJ online (no red though)(not sure about delivery charges) : http://www2.davidjones.com.au/shop-online/product-details.js…

    $622 + delivery : http://www.hospitalitysuperstore.com.au/product.asp?pID=828&…

    $640 delivered (store in auburn) : http://www.hospitalitydepot.com.au/catalog/equipment/domesti…

Or try myers as they generally have all colors (or are willing to order one for u) and see if they price match dj/yourhomedepot/etc as they have 'brick and morter' stores.

  • My wife purchased several items from yourhomedepot a couple of months ago. The box was very thin and badly torn open when it arrived. It really wasn't suitable for the weight of its contents.

Two of the things she ordered were a set of serrated biscuit cutters and an ice-cream scoop that was coated with a teflon-like coating. All items were just chucked together in the box (not individually wrapped). So the cutters scratched the scoop coating a little. It's a wonder more things weren't scratched. A tin of baking marbles were badly dented from rolling around.

She emailed them and they offered to replace the scoop if she liked - and said the items were not packed in their actual store. So they would have a word to them about packaging methods.

She also wants to buy one of these mixers, and asked them if she did buy one, could they definitely guarantee it would be packed with more care in a thicker box, and one of a more suitable size. (The box used had a lot of empty space.) They didn't really answer her query directly, except to say if there was a problem when it arrived, they'd replace anything damaged.

She also bought a wire oven rack and a chip crisper tray (just like the one Aldi was selling last week). But their products are of a higher quality. The rack wire was quite thick, and their crisping tray was twice the thickness of Aldi's.
