Best 2.1 Channel Amplifier for ~< $800?

There's so many options out there for amplifiers that can drive a pair of bookshelf speakers and connect to my Audio-Technia LP5 turntable (that has a pre-amp). I'm looking to get the best bang-for-buck in the price range of $800 or less. I want something that will last for years, can definitely be serviced to extend life, and optionally having some wifi connectivity to cast services like Spotify would be brilliant!

As it's Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals time, does anyone have some recommendations? I've looked at so many options that my head is spinning (Marantz PM6007, NAD D 3020 V2, TIBO TI435, Cambridge Audio AXA35, Yamaha A-S301 etc.) and I could use some guidance from our reside hi-fi aficionados!

  • Bump, Same boat I'm hoping to buy the whole setup today too. Many fingers seem to be pointing at the Cambridge AXR85 for $899 but it doesnt even look like its discounted so I'm wondering what else there is in that $500-$1000 price range.
