Not cordless but if you want to do light works around the backyard then this should be more than enough.

The review seems to be ok and CamelCamelCamel showed that it's very close to the lowest price ($107.10) for this item on Amazon.

You could get this slightly cheaper at Catch for $103.2 , but you might have to pay extra for delivery unless you are a Catch club member.

$4 extra to not deal with Catch.. sounds like a bargain to me

    Bought one

  • I would highly recommend against getting a corded chainsaw. Running an extension lead can be very annoying.

Having said that, I have an ozito corded one and have taken down a fairly large (25-30 cm diameter tree) one before.

For smaller jobs I've bought 3 cordless battery chainsaws which are amazing for pruning branches

    • was looking at the ozito one before, but this one comes up cheaper and delivered.

Save me from spending more at bunnings especially at those irresistible Bunnings sausages :) .

  • Depending on what sizes of branch you want to chop, I can highly recommend getting a reciprocating saw skin instead if they’ve got one in your chosen brand of power tool.

    • I had a reciprocating saw but want to get this to get rid of the stumps. These stumps are very hard to remove.

    • yeah same here, i actually want to get rid of some tree stumps.

checking gumtree the price of second-hand electric chainsaw is about similar if not more to this prpduct, and off course dealing with gumtree can be a bit of hit and miss.

      • Yeah it is easy to remove a tree and cut with pieces with all the other tools. Just the stump is so hard to remove. Have to use chainsaw though I try to avoid it because it is so dangerous.

  • my local aldi had a pile of 46cc 2-stroke 16" chainsaws for $99 if petrol is your thing.

i've got an aldi electric chainsaw similar to this and it has been great. keeping your chain sharp makes a world of difference

    • how to sharpen the chain?

Easiest way is a chainsaw file kit. I got one off eBay for about $17.
