Gaming PC Advice - Budget $1600

Hey team, I don't know much about PC's so I'd love some advice on my next purchase.

I'd primarily be using the PC for gaming, specifically Call of Duty: Vanguard, Warzone, Halo Infinite, Elden Ring.

My budget is $1600 but I could push to $2000 if it's worth it in the long run.

The pre-builds I currently have my eye on are:

I would also consider building a PC if I get more bang for my buck, or am I better off waiting for Christmas sales?

Appreciate everyone's time and knowledge on this, cheers!

  • if you want to build your own (you should) look at the rtx 3060ti s on "sale" for $999

get a ryzen 5 or next gen intel on sale, other parts are a breeze to get under 600-1000

Idk, but dont get a 6600 or rtx3060- I think 6600xts and 3060tis are much better, and will last longer (as in be useful for longer)

  • pcpartpicker has build guides

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/guide/nRxFf7/modest-intel-gaming…

is probably the best spec in your price range

I would change it to a 11400f instead with a motherboard to suit and add a suitable cooler like a Cooler Master Hyper 212.
also change the 1660 super to a 6600 xt

  • Probably better off buying an xbox.

    • If only we could run KB & Mouse that would save me a tonne of cash ;-(

      • You can hook up a mouse and keyboard.

Not all games work with them, but you can hook them in and use them in the menu and in games that support them.

  • I'm in the same boat as you. I'm looking for a Sub $2k gaming system, possibly pre-build as I've never attempted to assemble a system myself. I understand that the CPU (i5 / i7) isn't the main factor when looking for a gaming system, more so the GPU. Totally bambozzled with what system is at least 3 years proof. The i7 option might be something I'd be looking at due to video/photo editing.. but I don't know.

  • Hey,
Although just about everyone has more knowledge than me.
I have just had this built.

Works out just under $2000 (not including the build). The cooler is overkill and you could save $100 or so on that.
I’m sure there will be specials around Xmas.
I bought it all from the one supplier so they could build it. This meant I could only use what they had in stock at the moment. You could do it cheaper by sourcing from different suppliers and built yourself.

So you could probably save $200 or more.

    Cooler Master Masterbox MB530P
    10400f
    Asus prime H510M-A wifi
    Kingston fury beast 16gb (2x8) 3200
    Crucial 1TB NVme
    Sapphire 6700xt pulse
    EKWB EK-AIO 240 cooler
    Thermaltake 650/80 bronze

    Good luck
