Decent price but I'm opposed to preordering games, even ones from well established studios.

This will be day one Game Pass for PC, which I’m sure some of us already have.

Consider using game pass version until further sales if you want a permanent copy.

    • Good way to try it out. Between Forza, Halo and this Gamepass is really earning it's keep rn.

      • Let's not forget Lawn Mowing Simulator! Somehow they managed to make an incredibly boring, low graphic game clock in at 21GB.

I was impressed they got Back 4 Blood on there. It's not a Microsoft title, which means they're investing some real cash in there on top of buying up studios. If they can keep releasing major titles at this rate I'll never stop subscribing.

If you haven't played 1 or 2 then is the recommended path.

If your already invested into the prior titles and DLC, then at best its a trial before you buy. Your going to have to jump back over to stream at some point.

Assuming they will release all the prior content to Game Pass for PC once they get around to the mega big all factions campaign map.

    • Damn it… I can get it on Game Pass, and not have it merge with 1 + 2, or pay for the full experience that I'll probably only do once.

  • Did they fix the first two yet?

    • Was there anything to fix? But this version updates a lot of the stuff like siege battles and repetitive maps etc.

  • Wait few months, will be $10-$15.

In all seriousness it will likely stay around USD RRP for some time based on the prior titles price history. Not a lot of sales for the first year. Stayed at $90AUD for 6months on steam.

Took about a year to reach the price it is now in a comparable level, factor in the DLC and now is about it as good as you'll see.

Note, that the pre-order faction is included for the first week. After which expect that to be a 15-20 price range.

Couldn't agree more with not pre-ordering, but this one time I think its probably an exception if your already invested into the series.

    • Where do you get that from?

      • ozbargain.com.au

  • Is anyone familiar with pre-ordering on this site? Do they provide a key immediately, or would I have to wait and then get back to the site for delivery at launch? I don't think I've ever pre-ordered a game before, but I'm willing to make an exception at this price, with the race pack.

    • They will email you when the key is available. It's similar to sites like greenmangaming, fanatical, etc. But when you get the key is different for many games… you'll either get it some time before release (e.g. like a couple days before, so you can pre-load) or you'll get it on release.

      • Actually it was immediate

    Thanks very much for this!
If I'm going to break the don't pre-order rule this is the game to do it on.

For those wondering you get an instant steam key with the pre-order bonus.
I entered it into steam and WH3 now shows in my games list.

    • Thanks for that update. Do the Ogres show as a DLC? And how about on the game page - what appears instead of the 'play' button?

      • Shows up like a normal pre-order.
Can't see anything that mentions the DLC but it is a legit pre-order so… I think you're safe?
