Regarding HD25 Adidas deal with Jaben Audio...

EDIT: If you've purchased a HD25 from us use the code 1MUYM5GRHE4B to get a free pair of these: http://www.jaben.com.au/products/sonyex20lp
One per purchase of HD25 please, they won't be sent in the retail packaging unfortunately due to postage cost.
So just earphones and different sized tips in a padded envelope to keep them safe
Quote your order number and what colour you'd prefer at checkout =)

If you didn't order a HD25 and try to order one your order will be cancelled. Sorry!

Hi all, I suppose this is a better place to post this to make it a bit less confusing.

This morning we received an e-mail telling us that another place is doing them for $49 cheaper (well to be fair for us, at most $40 cheaper as they charge shipping and we send it express through a courier which costs a fair bit more)
I'm sorry to say that if you placed an order before 8:30 am this morning, your order has been shipped already and there's not much we can do.

For everyone else, if you'd like a refund we understand. Please send an e-mail to [email protected] and we'll get it sorted.

What we can do is before your next purchase, please contact us first and we'll give you a good discount for your support. Just tell us you're from OzBargain and we'll take care of you!

Also for those of you who have ordered (and hopefully received) the HD25s, we're happy to give you one of these as compensation:

We just got a heap of these that we've been giving out to kids and friends of costumers in-store. If you like the look of them or you think someone you know would appreciate it we're happy to give one to you, shipped free.

  • You guys are awesome, have just emailed re my order

  • Wow nice work Jaben

  • Do we just email you for the free lollipops?

    • +1

even if you've not ordered the HD25 in the first place? Cause that would be really nice of you guys.

      • Sorry mate, only for the HD25 order-er-er

  • I wanna +1 this thread even tho I haven't bought anything from you :)

  • unfortunate getting undercut, but it happens.

great customer service in the face of it…can't complain about that!

    • I can't understand people are boasting about customer service for $40 difference? To me, $40 is much more valuable than a 1-2 day faster delivery.

Customer service is more than just fast postage. Have you dealt with Jaben? I have a few times… and they go far above and beyond any other retailer I have ever dealt with.

        • Customer service is very subjective, I always think a bargain is for the price and the product not the service.

        • ^ NOONE SAID THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS A BARGAIN. customer service and bargain are two separate things. people are commenting about the customer service. noone said anything about a bargain.

          see my comment below.

you're not paying $40 for the customer service. that is an inaccurate characterisation of the situation.

people bought for $200 YESTERDAY, and now can buy it for $150 TODAY. they couldn't have bought it for $150 yesterday. the extra $40/$50 they paid yesterday was the cost of buying it yesterday (unfortunately not knowing it would be cheaper today), NOT for the customer service.

the great service is how Jaben have reacted. they didn't have to do anything. people paid the asking price of $200 yesterday - bad luck if it's cheaper elsewhere today! Jaben didn't have to offer free earphones. Jaben didn't have to offer a discount on future purchases. Jaben didn't have to offer a refund for people who bought today. THAT is customer service.

so no, trying to compare $40 and customer service is a completely faulty (and stupid) analysis.

        • Sorry for being a natural born fool and thank you for the smart and clear explanation.

Out of my curiosity ,does anyone who has dealt with Jaben knows the standard return policy of jaben ? as I could not locate it anywhere in their website?

The only hope from a fool person like me is that Jaben which is perceived by many to have an excellent customer service also has an excellent return policy in place.

        • aha, no worries.

haven't dealt with them myself, but i would just give them a call. they appear to be very responsive.

          cheers.

How about those who bought the HD25/PFE/Hippo bundle?

    • sure, why not! if you've purchased a HD25 from us i'm happy to honor this
sorry for the delay guys, it will definitely be up tomorrow with a code to claim… (one per purchase of HD25 of course)

      • I brought the HD25/PFE/Hippo bundle directly from the Melbourne Store.
Is it still possible for me to claim these headphones?

  • …..jaben is always my favourite place to buy headphones :)) goodjob, great service

  • Received my HD25 today and had a listen with my Fiio E17. Amazing :D

@Jaben, all sony candies are gone, give us some discounts on amps…

  • Just called jaben and they don't have a return policy in place!!. Their argument is that they can't re-sell the product if they take my return although I have explained that I haven't opened the item . There you go the great customer service of Jaben. As a fool customer in Australia I will follow the ACCC recommendation which I gather from here. http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/815327 . Any advise will be highly appreciated.

Sorry guys, let me put in my 2c here.

The reason we don't accept "change of mind" returns are both the cost as well as to protect our customers and integrity.
If we accept returns, we obviously won't be able to sell it as new unless it's got a tamper-proof seal which are pretty rare nowdays.
There was a recent case of dodginess by one of the big chains where "secondhand" products were sold as new due to their generous returns policy.

If you buy new from us it'll be new. No one has touched the inside of the box, exactly as it's come from the factory.

I don't know if anyone still does change of mind returns (I know an electrical store that don't sell electrical parts anymore did) but if they do it'll be bigger corporations where they can just scoff off the loss…

Of course if it's faulty we'll take care of you!

        • Just for the record headphonic (headphones.com.au) have a 21 day replacement policy.

      • Thanks for your advice. I now understand better about consumer right in Australia.. it's a good lesson for me to check the company's return policy or whether there is a lowest price guarantee (for example djwarehouse) before I bought stuffs..

  • Just received them today! They sound great, however there was no receipt included in the package. Is this something to be concerned about?

    • +1

Nay, just use the e-mail if there's any issue. That way you won't lose it and we can't pretend we don't know who you are ; )

  • +2

You are out of these earphones - how do I order them for free?

    • Yes, I am wondering the same. Can't add them to the cart to apply the code if they are sold out :S

  • Has anyone actually received them yet?

    • Nope. Been over 2 weeks. Hopefully they keep their word…

  • EDIT: Nevermind. It misread the information.
