Did you ever think why all these successful investors need to sell books?

    • Why does anyone need to sell books? Cook books and educational books are in the same boat. Don't care if I pay $11.95 to save hundreds

      • -1

To make money. Which these allegedly very successful investors should not really need.

People do so much stupid shit with their money these days, Scott Pape just realised that and marketed it to them. Smart money makes money

Personal finance resources always get a very hard line from most OzBargainers. I presume it's the idea of expenditure for money itself, that is financial information or advice, that feels like some sort of rort to the common man.

It's unfortunate. No one receives formal personal finance education and, subsequently, most make poor decisions.

Personalities in financial influence are having a positive impact for those that engage. They run their own businesses and monitise their labour and skills, because of course they do, every other professional does too and everyone needs an income and an endeavour.

TLDR: Scott Pape does good personal finance 101, most people can benefit. For the next generation down, check out Glenn James

Boomers love their property to much to even believe there's something beyond it worth investing in 😅

        Barefoot is about retirement

You need to focus on getting a house to have an easy retirement.

It's just up to you how you wish to live

I have read an older version of this book and he is not harping about investment properties. What he wants you to do is to buy a place to leave in

    • +8

Crypto is not investment, it's a ponzi scheme.

      • -4

Yeah, that is what someone who does not understand crypto & the real world applications/projects that drive them would say. 30% of Aussies can't be wrong…..

        • Ahaha. Billions of flies can't be wrong….

    • Eventually the powers that be are going to shit on crypto so hard everyone will lose their money. So he isn't wrong.

    • +2

      Crypto is gambling itself.

Will this take me to the moon?

Honestly I spend $6.95 on more stupid shit that if I buy this and actually read it I will automatically save money because I won't be buying said stupid shit but instead reading this haha lol so it actually is a good smart money move at least for me.

Let me guess, the first advice from this book is: Not to buy too many OzBargain deals that you'll never use or consume.

    • Should we report this deal as anti-OzBargain?

    • +3

      Eneloops excluded, right?🤔
