  Anyone worried about the video from this going somewhere it shouldn't you can try what I used to do. Just set a manual IP address and set the default gateway to an address that either doesn't exist on your network or is some other device that isn't your modem/router.

  If you want to go full on whack job, tin foil hat levels of protection - use networking equipment that supports VLANs (a lot of cheap stuff does) and use a firewall that can inspect, control and block traffic out and in. Works for me. 🤪
