wait 12 days just for them to send a case with a digital code?

Why not just buy from here https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/cyberpunk-2077-gog-pc

Even cheaper at play Asia for some reason

      https://www.play-asia.com/cyberpunk-2077/13/70csmj

I was actually looking for physical PC copy for the soundtrack because I'm a nerd .. but I'm not going to re buy it lol, I got a digital copy with the gog key, but I would have liked the physical soundtrack oh well.

    • This.

No one's getting a disk, it's just a code, and even with a disk, you're downloading 2 years worth of updates for the next day.

  • +1

Great price for the PC version

Do note that these are the GOG version. If your looking for steam current prices are around $45

      you're*

    • +1

      whats the difference?

      • +3

Steam version requires Steam installed & running to download the game.

GOG version you can download directly from GOG site and install/play without any client

  • Great price, was about to jump but considering it hasn't improved AI, driving etc. I expect it to drop further further soon.

  • -1

It's not worth $28 imo basically abandonware at this point
I bought it for $68 and only played 10 hours couldn't stand it even to get my moneys worth

    • +17

Say all you want about bugs etc but calling it abandonware is absurd

      • +2

They cut the dev team, a year from launch it still hasn't fixed all the bugs many of which are gamebreaking
They are selling it for $28 when it should be $60 for a AAA title a year from launch
        /case closed

        • Tempted, but holding out for now. Will wait until it hits a similar price with expansions, etc bundled in - in about 5 years.
You can say a hell of a lot about how CP2077 was developed, handled, lied about and so on, but calling it abandonware isn't one of them. Well, not legitimately, anyway.

        • They were developing the Witcher 3 in that time too. I don't think the price has much to do with its success. All AAA titles drop in price, especially non-steam copy like this one. They're still selling the Witcher games like hotcakes and last I read they already made over half a billion USD on cyberpunk. And that was in the first month of release.

i played it upon release on my pc, zero bugs and had a great time, not sure what your on about, maybe your trying to play it on your snes

Agree with this. Bought a 3070 just for cyberpunk. Played the game on the first three days only. Disappointed due to high expectations. However, I'm not complaining, hey, I got the 3070 at RRP.

      • how much you paid for 3070?

        • A$849

          • @tedzozb: Frack that's damn good price. you could have made more than $2k from mining since you bought it.

    • The worst versions were for the base console XBOX One / PS4. Basically unplayable. The PC version has always been pretty good.

$28 on all platforms at EB Games if you're keen!

    https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/pc/164816-cyberpunk-2077-…

    • The sad thing is that this is only available at some stores and otherwise it has to be shipped to you (rather than emailed which would have been better). Delivery is a minimum of $5.95.

  • +1

I bought this for like 30~ when it first came out via Russian VPN on GOG, still to this day I have not played the game just because of how buggy it was and poorly it ran LOL

    • I started playing it again when patch 1.3 came out, its stable now.

    • I bought the same deal too I think. Thought I was real clever at the time but little did I know the joke was on me 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Gave up and ditched the game. It's unworkable for my taste. Full Redevelopment needed for an acceptable cyberpunk.

Tried getting back into this game, almost fell asleep during the long cutsceens. Didn't even get to the mission before I had to turn it off. Haven't seen a single bug yet though on xbox series x.

Preordered this game for $68 and spent 294 hours playing the hell out of it. 23 cents per hour of entertainment? Yeah, I got my money's worth.

Don't let the hate-train, expecting a "free" game full of microtransactions, dissuade you from playing it yourself and making up your own mind.

    • its decent but at this point its competing against 20-30 years of game development

the newer titles are mainly there to show off the new graphics engines, unfortunately it seems they care more about how pretty the graphics look vs actual gameplay

plenty of classic titles that will keep you entertained for almost free

If you havent used the epic coupon yet, then this would cost 30$ and instant download without waiting for the key.

    • where to get epic coupon

      • Just add to the cart any product above 23$ or something and goto checkout page, you will see additional 15$ discount applied.

    • On balance, I'd rather get the GOG, DRM-free version if I were to buy it over Epic, Steam, etc.

      • Thats what everybody keeps saying. When paying and obtaining legal copy, I dont see how that makes a difference. I prefer all my games on steam as I like the client. However I have purchased games on GOG, steam and EPIC and happy with all of them.

        • Fine with me. Your money, your choice. I've got a billion games on Steam as well and a growing pile on Epic, but overall I prefer to take the DRM-free option when available.

          • @Scipio: DRM-free is good, but with that model they wont grow anywhere. So you will mostly endup with either on steam or epic, and I dont prefer having just 1 or 2 on GOG and most on other clients. Rather be all on major clients. Just convinient to me to manage and launch.

Played on PC, purchased three months after launch (post the most serious bug fixes).

Actually a pretty good game on PC. Not Witcher 3 by any stretch of the imagination but certainly worth $28 if you already have a system that can run it comfortably.

I played it to the end and completed most side missions, I found one bug which lost me ten minutes of game time as I had to reload a save file for one side mission and walk down a set of stairs rather than jump off a balcony but other than that, any bugs I saw were not game-breaking.

Overall, a well thought out and complex game for a pretty great price. Don't expect "best in show" but a pretty solid title, considering most of the problems at launch have been addressed.

    • Which gpu do you have?

      • ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3070, bought at launch through a fluke and thought I paid too much as I wasn't looking for the higher end Strix, turned out to be a bargain.
It runs well at 1440 on it.

… just brought it on epic, feel like the extea dollar is warranted after all the freebies they have given me

Bought 2 weeks ago, after all neg reviews, it turned out to be not that bad and playable. I haven't experienced any critical bugs or crashes yet.
I am not a gamer, rather an extremely casual player (hadn't played anything for 2 years before this purchase).

  • +1

Actually a fantastic game on the PC - not sure what's with all the hate.
Apart from an NPC getting stuck in a ground (which autocorrects after about 10 seconds) or some unlootable robots (even though there is already too much looting) there hasn't been any real show-stoppers.

    • +1

There are a lot of good reasons for it. You could take a few seconds to google it or youtube them. I'm going to get it eventually, but I've got plenty opf other stuff to play, so I'll get it when the game is eventually complete in a few years.

      • If I have to Google to find the bugs then they're not that bad. It works fine on the PC - can't say the same for console versions.
