Great Citizen watch. Titanium case, Sapphire Crystal and it has GMT. A lot of tech for $299. I have been waiting for the Titanium Strap for ages, but so far no luck with any discount. Hopefully someone here will appreciate the deal.

Not me - it's light but no where near as strong or tough. Titanium is something you have to be careful / gentle with.

What are you on about? Low shear strength - threads. 7075 aluminium is stronger (and lighter) in many ways, and doesn't need tonnes of sand to manufacture. It's sales based on ignorance. Think of all those titanium valves in light weight motorbikes too - there's a huge after market of steel valves for folk who prefer longevity and reliability. 7075 on the other hand - very popular and proven every day in mtb, bicycles, chain rings, frames etc. Anything titanium usually depends on steel inserts for threads - or a very gentle hand and low torques - generally it's just not used. Aircraft industry? No. It is light.
@poohduck: I had a watch with titanium band and it was the thin steel inserts that was the Achilles heel. Really annoying.
Titanium scratches easily, but like it with a rubber strap to cut down weight, and for a different look over stainless bracelet on some watches.
@G-rig: I have a well worn Fenix 5x Titanium with titanium bracelet and no scratches or dings after around 4 years.
@mostlygordon: Helps to look after things.. work desks can typically scratch clasps so a piece of paper under where you are resting your wrist helps.
Not talking about big scratches or dings, but if you look closely, my oris titanium clasp has a lot of small surface scratches that aren't there from the factory. Bit of wear and tear so no drama.
Nice. I bought this for $399 and love it.
Note that the bezel has a bit more give than most of my other dive watches. If you tap it you can hear a clicking noise.
I use a few different NATO straps with mine. Looks different to anything else I have.

hope they do this watch again at this price …tend to just buy quartz battery ot solar watches now ….love the pick up and go and always accurate, think i have enough different coloured samurais and turtles in the auto collection.
I'm on the lookout for a baby turtle when they are cheap, don't think they have sapphire crystal but could always upgrade later. It seems to be the closest size and look compared to the skx007
Would buy if it came with titanium strap.
