With no scale on that image, it reminds me of this https://images.app.goo.gl/2ucjU2UFWEy9QKBj9

It seems like that's exactly what it is.

    Scrambled eggs without any springs.

Max load <75kg, next deal please.

  • Is this legal vs a scooter in NSW?

    • From what I've read in the past, no.

    • It needs to have functioning pedals for it to be legal. It doesn't.

  • +1

What is the real world max speed this thing can goes on flat surface @ 65kg? Can it really achieve 18km/h?
Your description is a bit tricky on max speed
Max Speed - <30km/h (This can mean anything below 30km/h)

    • I need to know this to.

I'm in the market for an e-Scooter, but the dark-grey area laws are preventing me from taking the plunge.

      Is this a genuine alternative?

      • I would like to know too. However, what I can see is there are a lot of people riding E scooter in VIC despite it is not legal. I bet the most important point is if the police wants to pick you, they will come up with all the breaches/reasons and fine you. Is all about who the police want to choose to fine. I bet you know what I mean

      • I don't think it matches the legal definition of a bicycle.

bicycle means a vehicle with 2 or more wheels that is built to be propelled by human power through a belt, chain or gears (whether or not it has an auxiliary motor), and—

My guess is it would be classified as a wheeled recreational device under the current road rules.

    • +1

I wouldn't want to go over 10km/h on this thing with wheels that small. Wouldn't take much to flip it, and doesn't have the weight distribution that stop scooters from doing the same thing.

    • It's less than 200w. Likely around 5kmh to 10 if slight down slope

    • I read it as 30km/h or less, do you see it as less than 30 (0-29)?

Can't imagine how good I'd feel riding this if it does its maximum.

    • I'd say it'd hit close to 200km/h in freefall

Those tiny wheels would be a massive hazard. Any debris or curb, and wind up on your head.

    • +1

Not only that, with a tiny circumference and solid tyres the ride would be terrible. You would feel every single bone jarring bump.

      • see my comment above.

    • Yep 6" radius means even small debris like gravel or chunky tanbark is going to send you over the bars. Not a bargain if you end up in a hospital bed.

    • Yeah I think this device is more for travelling from your apartment to your car in the apartment carpark.

      It does look cool though!

The wheels look flat. Will it fall over sideways when it turns?

  • The Ali G of e-bikes

  • Doesn't qualify as a 'power assisted bicycle' in Victoria, https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/safety-and-road-rules/cyclis…, so legally isn't a bike. Does this make it illegal to actually ride on roads/public spaces?

  • +3

    This thing is comically proportioned

  • +1

Reminds me of the Ralph Nader book - Unsafe At Any Speed.

  • +2

    Its a (profanity) kids toy.

  • I have strong feeling that I will become next meme if I ride this.

  • 75kg weight limit?

Clearly not for designed for the adult Australian population.
This might be fine for other countries, but such a low weight limit is next to useless here.

  • WHAT ABOUT US FATTIES?

  • Considering the selling point is portability, what is the weight? Can't find it in description.

    • +1

The pic on scales shows 14.5 . Not that useful if we can't read the unit of measure… 14.5kg would be a fair guess for it from known details. 7 inch solid tyres mentioned in other pic so much the same as many other scooter in class.
