Klook/Skybus Voucher Issue (Vouchers before Early Dec)

Just a heads up, I had some issues using my Klook vouchers (issued before early Dec) on SkyBus yesterday.

The HTML vouchers are in noticeably different format to the PDF ones issued by:

It appears SkyBus is updating their ticketing and some old tickets are now very hard to use (despite being valid).

The older vouchers, although still valid, must be run through old scanners and not all are being accepted. In my case, the bus driver tried the old scanner but since it didn't work and refused me boarding. I had to use my voucher from the above deal to get on.

I'm posting this thread in case anyone has a similar experience and wants to note it. Yesterday's bus driver was not particularly friendly but I will now try my luck Klook customer service.

  • I thought it was a QR code? Mind you it’s been about two years since I last caught it

    • I used a few of these vouchers and have never had a problem in the past. I think the issue is the switchover. It is possible that the old system was hit by a temporary glitch for just that one day - leading to my voucher being rejected. Or we may be about to see more people with the same issue.

Definitely not suggesting that SkyBus/Klook vouchers never work. Just the few tickets that fall into this category might not work. It's possible if you bought a ticket and specified a date in January your tickets were reissued but because I forecast my travel in December (cancelled with Omicron) they were not.

What you've described is pretty bad customer service, especially if the passenger ends up missing their flight as a result of the denial and the ticket/voucher is indeed valid.

  • They just need to use a different scanner. If the driver refused your ticket you need to complain to SkyBus, not Klook.
