    Most of these courses can be done through various state funded programs… right?

    Which units of competence are included in these courses, can't see them on your site?

      You are correct Martijin, but the best way to look at it is, there is a reason why private schools exist and public schools exist, technically they teach the same stuff, but a private school gives you the best start to life, more hands on, higher quality teachers and resources, and they provide students with that little bit extra in every aspect. you pay for what you get, and employers know that.

      But to be able to get funding AIICT would of had to lower it's standards to those providers that jumped on board for the funding, for us that would mean;

      • Hiring cheaper educators with less experience that use text book examples for everything, where as ours have to have had a minimum 10-15 years experience, and use real life examples that they themselves have been subject to.

      • Our courses are capped at around 25-35, so that the teachers have more one-on-one time with their students, compared to those other educators who have a minimum 100-150 students per cohort.

      • they didn't want our students to be able to go through the industry partner program as it's an exspense they do not see valuable

        Actually I think the public system has done our whole family very well thanks very much…

        • Never said the public system isn't a great system, our public system is one of the best in the world for education and health, it's just that if private schools where the same as public school in every way then there would be no need for them, wouldn't you agree?

      • I hire in IT.
        I can guarantee no one gives a (profanity) where you learnt anything. Show some competency, don't be a total weirdo and you'll get a job

      In this boat, the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) stipulates standards that must be met, so courses done are recognised formally nation wide. What's the point of studying a course if your "qualification" isn't recognised by other training providers or workplaces???

      Each course should be broken up into units with codes, that you can type into - https://training.gov.au/Search/Training?javaScriptEnabled=Tr…

      In comparison a "22445VIC Advanced Diploma of Cyber Security" at TafeWA is $1,745.00 for a year's tuition and covers 20 units of nationally recognised units of competency.

      EDIT: in the "About Us" section of the website, they specifically say they're the leading provider of non-accredited IT training…

  • Although it goes over Prince2, Scrum, and Agile methodologies, it looks like the Certified Project Management Professional course doesn't prepare you for the Project Management Professional certification.

    • How so?

      You walk away with three globally recognised certificates in the three methodologies you mentioned?
