This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app. Please see the archived thread (January 2017 - January 2022) for previous discussions.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

    I am finding the root cause of the failures on Android is SafetyNet Attestation failure. I am not sure how to fix this but in the past when this has been fixed, the A01 errors go away too and you can lock fine. My check for safetynet is failing currently and no matter what I do, cant lock.

    Would be grateful if someone can point to a guide / make a guide on how to update the relevant items to get the safetynet to pass again

    I can't seem to get anything to lock on my iPad running iOS 16 anymore – tried using NordVPN, Surfshark, iFakeLocation, GeoPort, iPhone hotspot, Android hotspot.

    I am only able to lock within my immediate vicinity – not even same state (VIC).

      I just tried it on iOS 16.7.7 iphone 8.

      Connected to home wifi in Melbourne. No VPN.

      Used ifakelocation and locked in U91 179.9 11-Seven Endeavour Hills.

      Worked first time with no issues…

    Does anyone have the instructions for interstate lock on Android studio method that works?
    I've got android studio, hma, device id changer and gpssetter installed.
    Couldn't lock the price. from ACT to WA

      Yeah I had my Pixel 3a XL working so well for a year (using the Android Studio method). Yesterday it stopped working whether on mobile data or local network. I think 7 eleven are getting more clever. Even without GPS setter on (its just a local price) I get A01 error. They can detect something in respect to the instance of Android even when locking a local price.

          It doesn't seem to be related to your IP address in respect to the Petrol station you locking in too. Otherwise local petrol stations should be fine. Interesting. Maybe its a backdoor they can detect something on VM and/or phone. Doing a sniff on what software you have running. Maybe getting more clever on the phone being rooted.

    On my ipad running 17.5 - it didnt work for many weeks using geoport with/without VPN - not even for the same state locks. Decided to factory reset the device last night. It started locking price within the same state again without using vpn. Havent tried interstate yet.

    Hi Everyone, need help with fuel locking.
    I used to lock same state lowest fuel on Virtual android, but its not working anymore since last 2 days. I cant even lock local fuel. Getting A01 error even though i havent locked anything for past 4 days. Tried on mobile data, wifi, turning Bluetooth off etc and still not working

    Update - Bluestacks & iOS with location lock in QLD, NSW or VIC and VPN (not NORD) running tested and lock works fine on the other hand WA tried with all the options you can and it still comes with A01 error.

    Using a rooted android and GPS Joystick worked earlier in the week, even in WA. But as of yesterday, nothing works, not even same state.

    Tried to use Hide My Applist, still doesn't work.

    Managed to lock in today on fresh rom on rooted andriod phone. Maybe these setttings might help people;

    My settings:
    1. Installed Magisk (hidden) - Installed Play integrity fix + Shamiko + Systemless hosts + Zygisk-Lsposed

    Configure Denylist; tick 7-Eleven app.

    1. Inside Lsposed - Install GPS Setter; tick 7-Eleven, Install Hide Mock Location; tick system framework + 7-eleven app, Install Hide my Applist; tick system framework + Device ID Changer + 7-Eleven

    Note: I did not configure any settings in the Hide my applist app; it causes my phone to freeze. I just have it installed

    1. Install device ID changer; Change device id of com.google.andriod.gms, change device ID au.com.fuel7eleven

    2. Set location using GPS Setter
      Cleaned app data of 7-eleven app;

    Hope these settings helps someone. Was able to lock in on fresh account and previous A01 accounts

      Thanks Penguin, finally locked it interstate on android. Though I had to stop GPS setter, just before hit "LOCK" button, otherwise it was giving the usual A01 error. Btw this is on previously choppered phone with Smallipatcher module and 7-11 account, so i did not do fresh rom flash etc. just added your list of modules/apps and configurations.

          Not sure about android studio, mine was a rooted phone with magisk - smalli patcher module. If you first root your phone with magisk and then add penguins instructions.

    Managed to lock in interstate (VIC only. Tried WA and NSW but didn't work. I live in QLD).
    Used an old iPhone SE running an outdated iOS. Set VPN to Melbourne (used PureVPN. Not free). Used 3uTools to spoof location.
    Worked.

    Managed to lock interstate - locked in Diesel price in NSW, being actually in VIC. Used fake location + NordVPN, which were turned on before searching price in 7/11 app. After getting the lowest price displayed, hit the "lock price bottom" then quickly jump to NordVPN app to disconnect and jump back to 7/11. Then it was locked! Fake location is on throughout. Before this tried but failed to lock in WA prices. However NSW worked… Used an old IPhone 6s.

    I have been using 3uTools with Iphone 7 for teleporting to a location for the lock, however, I recently changed to Iphone 12 and 3uTools gives an error of can't modifying the location.

    Has it happened with anyone else or they know what can I do to change the location?

      3uTools doesn't work with iphone 12. Hasn't for a long time.

    This morning i tested GeoPort 2.3.3 on both ios17.5 iphone & ios16.6.1 ipad.

    Observations:
    1. No VPN was used
    2. Using Geoport and testing each State, i found out that 711app will only work if im on the same State (VIC on my case).

    Would this be because 711 is using the cellular location or wifi location?
    I've tried combinations of turning on/off ExpressVPN but only gets the A01 error.

    Can someone share their success for interstate locking?

    Following this thread for a solution to lock interstate specifially VIC to WA fuel price.

    Fresh account, a couple different VPNs, windows PC and Ipad using various techniques with the dreaded A01 error. No luck so far.

    I dont have a rooted android phone so unable to verify if its working for locking interstate but from general responses so far is only the ability to lock within same state.

    The fuel lock app was the only thing that got me into the 711 store…

        not 4 cents. it's to get petrol on flat price at anytime, that feeling is very good. no need to watch the fuel price when it's on the high top.

    Re: Android 7-Eleven helicopter A01 error.

    I followed Penguin8213 guide, but after some trial and error, I noticed that:

    • Usage of old A01 accounts is still doesn't matter (registering another account doesn't affect much, and I had success with a previously tainted account )
    • Similarly, Device ID changer doesn't seem to affect much. Device ID involved in A01 was used again.
    • Shamiko conflicts with DenyList, so use either but not both. I went with Shamiko.

    My device: Android 10, rooted, SafetyNet 2 passes, PlayIntegrity: BASIC + DEVICE integrity. Despite all this, 7-Eleven gave me A01 error.

    I amended his guide with changes that worked for me, so far for a petrol station in my state (will try interstate later). My changes are mainly in bold or struck-through

    1. Installed Magisk (hidden - hide in settings) - Installed Play integrity fix + PlayIntegrityNEXT (for ongoing DEVICE integrity) + Shamiko + Systemless hosts (not sure if needed) + Zygisk-Lsposed
    2. Configure Denylist; tick 7-Eleven app. Conflicts with Shamiko, nope
    3. Inside Lsposed (invoke by dialing *#*#5776733#*#*) - Install GPS Setter; tick 7-Eleven, Install Hide Mock Location; tick system framework + 7-eleven app, Install Hide my Applist; tick system framework + Device ID Changer + 7-Eleven
    4. Note: I did not configure any settings in the Hide my applist app; it causes my phone to freeze. I just have it installed not in my case
    5. Change that made a difference for me: Go to "Hide my AppList - "App Manage" - select 7-Eleven - Enable Hide, Work mode: Whitelist.
    6. Install device ID changer; Change device id of com.google.andriod.gms, change device ID au.com.fuel7eleven (Device ID Changer is probably not needed, never changed ID for GMS)
    7. Set location using GPS Setter
    8. Cleaned app data of 7-eleven app; Had success without clearing app data and having to relogin

    I don't claim that my guide is an ultimate guide, but this information is hopefully useful to someone (especially step 5).

    Bonus: some basic empirical troubleshooting steps
    * Errors A02/A01 intermittent? Most likely it's a bad internet connection.
    * Do you get a good SafetyNet & Playintegrity? If not, address it first (it's not yet confirmed AFAIK if PlayIntegrity DEVICE integrity is required yet)
    * 7-Eleven complains about fake GPS? Then obviously fake GPS is being detected
    * When you press "LOCK", 7-Eleven seems to thoroughly (and sometimes while causing freezes) check device security attestation (SafetyNet & PlayIntegrity) + checks for Zygisk + bad apps

      Shamiko uses the deny list - you are meant to use the denylist to select the apps, but not enforce denylist in Magisk settings.

      I've been through your list but unfortunately still not working, A01. Even without any GPS location set, I can't even lock in my local fuel price. I don't know if it's account related or not.

    Okay i'm not ENTIRELY sure this is the case here but on your device that's getting A01, perhaps check if your wi-fi scanning and bluetooth scanning (settings -> location -> location services) are on or off.

    I have got my device to work again by switching both of it to off :)

    I think I figured it out, I was able to lock for 4 accounts without the A01 error.

    (ensure the 7/11 app is closed before you start)
    1- wifi on
    2- use VPN to the same state you want to lock to. (prefer not Nord)
    3- change location (I used ifakelocation)
    4- open the app and choose the fuel you are after and let it find the cheapest price (dont lock yet)
    5- turn off the VPN and location and switch to mobile data (this solved the A01 for me)
    6- go back to the app and click lock.

    I tried on an iPhone but I think it will work with Android.

    Wow what an ordeal. Got it working again using Android Studio / AVD.

    I followed this guide to set everything up for the first time. There was an error in the instructions for Apple Silicon which I resolved here. It worked. And then the next day I got A01 no matter what.

    Went to re-do everything and suddenly Magisk was trying to install v27 instead of 25.x and for a while couldn't figure out how to get it installed properly. Turns out I need the FAKEBOOTIMG flag now when installing (as well as installing the img from inside Magisk), so

    ./rootAVD.sh /system-images/android-33/google_apis_playstore/arm64-v8a/ramdisk.img FAKEBOOTIMG

    Still A01.

    Then I went through and followed @BudMot 's instructions here just above, following everything they did differently (no Device ID Changer yet). Just locked in successfully.

    It's not even about saving money anymore - it's game.

    It's worth noting that it's entirely possible your device (id) is hard banned. My primary device is an iPhone and I can't lock in with real location. It also can't make new accounts (error G07 or something).

      So are we supposed to have v27 or 25? And what does FAKEBOOTIMG actually do? I used to have the old system running and am trying to see what needs updating.

      Sorry, its getting pretty complicated following 3 different sets of instructions at the same time, some with outdated notes…etc.

        Well in the end I got it working with v27.
        From what I gather, something in Magisk from v26 onwards that requires FAKEBOOTIMG to install it (otherwise you keep getting prompted to install it properly).

        If you've got it running from before maybe just try install all the stuff BudMot mentions?

          I'm trying to follow your instructions on using FAKEBOOTIMG but don't understand the part where you install the img from inside Magisk?

          Theres a point when the CMD script is running where it pauses - that's when you go into Magisk? And then what?

          Magisk then prompts me to update using a file - do I click the FAKEBOOTIMG file?

          Whatever I do, it doesn't update it to v27.

          Any help is appreciated mate!

            @jpwwong: Yes when the CMD script pauses,

            In Magisk, press Install next to Magisk (I think, it's that or Install next to App, I can't remember)

            For method, Select and Patch a File

            Navigate to the Downloads folder and select the fakeboot.img file that has now appeared.

    Able to lock iphone using geoport in same state. Tried Surfshark VPN on router to mock IP location and multiple different variances of geoport stop/simulate with/without Surfshark, but could not lock interstate. Had probably 30 attempts of different methods and as soon as I turned Surfshark off I was able to lock (no A01 error). So it doesn't lock your account automatically after x number of tries

        This - I just did some testing - 100% they have device bans but it will only show as A01 error still - erase all content and settings for a new device ID on iphone does the trick
        Easy way to check, if you cant local lock, they got ur device ID on the list

    finally i got it work, was giving me error 01 same state
    iphone 7, i use ifakelocations
    once you search the price in 711, stop fake location within seconds locked the price - somehow it works

        I have been using the GPS Setter. The one thing that is odd is in Magisk it doesn't update to v27 only the app updates to v27. Everytime I open magisk it says "require additional setup"

          You need to use the FAKEBOOTIMG flag when installing Magisk.

          During install it says something like install some .DMG file, waiting 30 seconds… at which point you need to launch Magisk and do just that from inside Magisk.
