Great price on this Star Wars novelty chilli sauce. Pretty fiery, for those who like it hot.

Warning: it's hot but it doesn't actually have a nice flavour. I had a 6 pack recently from catch, threw them out

    • Thanks almost bought it

      • I bought those ones listed on Ozbargain at $10 a pop for much larger bottles and the taste of the actual chilli is great and you get the heat..proper hot sauce

Edit: to clarify I meant bigger than the small bottles of this same hot sauce I bought! :)

I don't even eat hotsauce but am seriously considering it just for the bottle!

So just like a stormtrooper, there was plenty of fire but it kept missing the mark?

      • What you did there. 👀

      • +1

They never miss. They're all warning shots. They don't want to kill anyone unlike the rebel scum

    • Yes a lot of these cheap made in China sauces just have chilli, salt and vinegar and little else to give it any notable flavour.

      • I felt bad buying my brother a set of "Made in China" Kmart hot sauces as a token gift to go with his gift card for Christmas!!

    size is 250 ml

    • I meant compared to the smaller ones I bought, sorry unclear on my end haha

  • Thanks Ops. Got one just for the bottle! LOL.

    A decanter is selling at $34 !!! https://www.amazon.com.au/Thumbs-Up-Shepperton-Stormtrooper-…

    • The decanter is 3x the size tho.

    • +1

I have the decanter and whilst the quality of the glass feels quite thin and fragile, I think it's necessary in order to get the complex shape of the helmet and regardless, it looks great when filled with a coloured spirit and always gets lots of comments, even from people who aren't Star Wars nerds like me.

      • Me too, That way I can decant the Woodstock Bourbon into it and tell everyone its Wild Turkey! :) (Insert your equivalent meme here>)

  • Ngl thats a nice looking bottle.

10,000 scoville doesn't sound that hot?

    • Depends on your tolerance level.

    • Yep, it is kinda weak for a novelty hot sauce.

    • Sounds like nothing really.

I recently had a Phall curry from the Balti House. It was fairly hot, but absolutely not 100-350k scoville hot. More recently had a Zingaloo curry from the Chefs of Tandoori, I asked them to crank up the heat by 4x, and blimey was that HOT!!! I could barely ready it at all, threw up 4 times, and had to sleep sitting up as everytime I laid down the spices and chilli call up…… I do enjoy his food, but that Zingaloo was the bomb…..

  • This is one of those interesting 'Original Stormtrooper' products. It's not 'Star Wars' licensed but licensed from the guy who made the original costumes for the movie.

For some reason (I assume a loophole) he has the rights to sell items with the stormtrooper design. If you notice on these, it usually doesn't even have a picture of an actual stormtrooper, but a photo of an action figure, which may not even be an actual licensed Hasbro one.

Quality of these things of course is dubious therefore.

  • Made in China no thanks

      so you dont buy anything?

Not always about the fact it was made in China (Bottle Wise) but from a Food Securities perspective it wouldn't be my first choice of providence. Great bottle though.

        • Good for a present tho.

  • The reviews on it are pretty good. I was scoping it out before chrissy but thought 25 bucks back then was a bit of an ask, 15 is alright by me.
