Used to buy this, what a waste of plastic and money!

Fully agree. It is interesting that there are so much hype and influencer-type reviews out there on this.
The truth is that normal nappy bags and bin with lid would suffice.

Wanted to buy this during the boxing day sale but many reviews say they recently changed the refills and the quality is very bad

Maybe OK if you live in an apartment and need to lug your waste out, but if you live in a house, this is a waste of money. Just bag the waste and take it to the bin outside.

This is like a cheap printer.. and expensive ink. But worse as you don't really need it.

We bought this when baby came along - never used it and thankfully resold and got all the $$$ back.

Honestly just bag them and put them in the bin.

  • These are a waste of money.. Even in apartments… Just get a bag and a box and put it there, and chuck it out every night

DO NOT BUY THESE!!! They've changed the material used for the film to be more "green" - great!
But odours no longer get trapped! I emailed them to complain about this and they even acknowledged this fact.

"We have been made aware that the new film may allow a slight odour to be released, and rest assured, we’re looking into this, to ensure that our more sustainable film contains all odours, like the original Twist and Click film that you know and love.

To keep your bin in the best condition during nappy transitions, it may require more frequent emptying. it can also be washed with either soapy water or using bicarbonate of soda. Simply sprinkle the bicarb liberally into the bin, leave overnight and then rinse with water.
alternatively an anti bacterial odour neutralising spray is another option."

I used to be a big fan of these and we could fill up the entire bin without any stink.
Now even with just 1 soiled nappy, you'll smell it, and it will make your bin smell too - even after you've emptied it……..

We just use freezer bags now and take out to the trash immediately.

So yes it's a "bargain" based on RRP, but it doesn't work and there are a lot of cheaper alternatives to achieving a house that stinks like sh*t.

That explains it. Worked well for awhile but the last box I bought was horrible at keeping smells in, would make the whole room stink just from one nappy. Started just using nappy bags and throwing them in the bin.

      Was nice while it lasted.

We thought our bin was just getting old and the smell was just two years of being filled with… crap. But this makes so much more sense, the inserts have changed now the bin as a permentant odour to it. Even when empty. So annoying! Thanks for posting this.

Can't believe they replaced a market leading product, with one that doesn't remotely achieve it's purpose.

For their testing, they just needed to take a dump & put it in their bin and wait.. how hard is that?

    • Just put a bag inside , as a inner layer ?🤷‍♂️

Costco sells it at $39.99 all the time :P

  • Suggest trying the QLemon refills instead, these still keep the odour in unlike the latest "green" genuine ones, and you save on plastic waste also by re-using your existing cartridges, just takes a bit of time to refill them while watching TV…

    Use coupon code qlemon10%off for an additional 10% off and also includes free express shipping… 100m (equivalent of 10 cartridges) = $33.29 ($3.33ea) or 200m (20 cartridges) = $59.39 ($2.97ea)

    • Thanks, will give it a try.

Get a good quality metal Ubbi bin and use Costco bags, you’ll thank me later.
