Allbirds Tree Dasher $170 & Free Shipping @ Allbirds

140

Price drop on the Tree Dashers from $225 to $170 - they were on sale at this price for Black Friday but this looks to be permanent now. I haven't tried a pair but have had my eye on them for a while. The only other local stockist on google looks a bit dodgy so this seems to be the best option IMO.

Free shipping and no questions asked returns within 30 days.

    $170 for 1 pair??

    • Pretty standard for Nike / Adidas etc.

      • Nike and Adidas are more like <$130 for their top shelf runners when on sale.

These aren't on sale. It's a price reduction.

    are these any good ?

According to a few reviews I've read, they're quite comfy. Maybe not the greatest shoes for serious runners, but good for everyday use.

The minimal design, sans massive logos, with a decent number of colourways is another positive and probably the biggest reason they're trendy - but that's subjective.

There's also the sustainability aspect if you're interested in that (made from natural materials, supposedly less CO2 emissions than typical runners)

    • I have a pair of these and love them - prefer them to the Nike Pegasus I came from. They have a great return policy so very little risk if they don’t work for you

      • Different style shoes though hey. Yea I returned the Pegasus 37 after 2 months of running. It's a great policy Nike online have - 3 months return.

    • I like ‘em’ expensive though!!

  • I have a pair of tree runners, on to my second pair. They’re comfy, washable and eco friendly.

  • Damn I've never seen Allbirds on sale before. Shame these aren't the ones I'm after.

  • how does the sizing on these run (compared to ultraboosts for example)?

  • Don't have the all birds tree dasher but I do have a pair of the Mizzles:
    https://www.allbirds.com.au/collections/mens-mizzles

What I can say is that first pair sent had threading loose on the "tongue" of the shoe so I had to send it back to get a new pair.

Overall quite comfy and definitely warm. They do absolutely stand up to their selling point. Water repels off and does not soak in your feel.
It doesn't feel like a slippery shoe in the rain as well.

On a separate note regarding purchasing:
Just be mindful that depending on your Merchant when you purchase, you might be slugged with a transaction fee because they are a overseas company.
Whilst the cost is AUD, my merchant told me (Suncorp Visa credit card issued by Citigroup) they are an overseas company and they have no control over that.
Ended up being slugged about $13!

  • the best shoes in the market. They need to be $499.
